Hello Friends! Since we’ve started a new year, I’m starting a new series. It will be called Wow Me On The Weekend! It will consist of 5 photos to inspire and get your decorating creative juices flowing. Each post will have a theme like entryways, bathrooms, ceilings, doors, patio’s, maybe even the color pink! Whatever it is, I’ll share why I like them and a few extra ideas too. You might as well start a new Pinterest Board called Wowza’ s! Let’s start the series with Coffee Stations. It’s nippy outside so why not?!
Wow Me On The Weekend – Coffee Stations!
The entire reason for doing this new series is because I’m looking at magazines, perusing Pinterest and Instagram or gazing at Houzz and HGTV quite often while getting new ideas for my home. I thought you’d like seeing some of what I see so you can play around with the decor in your home too. Does that sound good? A little eye candy on the weekends?
Velveteen and Grace
Ever thought about using a wine barrel tucked into a corner for a coffee station?! It’s definitely rustic but such a unique idea. If the stained sides don’t appeal to you, they can be painted or covered with a fun tablecloth. The barrel doesn’t seem to take up much space either. Adding hooks to a near by wall to hold cups is handy and decorating it around seasons is even better! I think I could get behind this idea.

I found this little wintry station to be delightful. What makes it so cozy is the warm wood tones and the shelf over the top of the table. I also like the plant hanging over the edge of the shelf. It softens the hard edge. Notice too there isn’t a large empty space of white (the wall) between the shelf and table. She’s filled the gap with a cutting board. Any kind of art work could fill it but blank would seem bleak.
Sweet Little Smith Farm
When preparing your own personal coffee station, varying your heights will make it look pleasing and not just functional. As you look around at this pretty corner, notice the crock with the rolling pins stands the tallest. Placing the plant on top of the scale is a medium height and the items on the tray have the same thing going on. Use plates, a cake stand, jars or crocks to get this look. She accomplished the same look on the shelves but if everything on this counter and on the shelves were the same height, it would seem sterile.
Down Shiloh Road
Besides the fabulous textures going on in this photo, I like the idea of adding a little stool or chair in the corner that you can decorate as well. If you don’t have a collection of wood bowls, you can just add a plant or a pitcher of flowers or a pumpkin in the fall. The stacked plates both vertically and on top of each other keeps it cohesive as does keeping to 3 main colors – white, brown and green. If you only had 2 colors, it wouldn’t be as lovely and more could start looking busy and unrelaxing.
French Country Cottage
When I saw this kitchen with its coffee station just plopped in the middle of the counter, it wowed me because of the way the open shelving was decorated. The rustic birdcages mixed with silver and tiny bits of greenery gave me all the cozy feels. I wish I could have found a larger photo but this was it. I think I stared at it for 5 minutes. Anyone else want to duplicate this in their own home besides me?
When we added a coffee station to the farmhouse, I didn’t put much thought into it. You can see it here. I’d like to change it up soon and add a little something else. These photos have given me great inspiration. π
Well, did you see anything you liked? Anything you want to incorporate or expand on? Thanks for hanging out with me and no matter what you’re doing today, I hope it’s what YOU want to be doing.
Just pinned all of these beautiful ideas, Cindy, and found some gorgeous new-to-me IG accounts too! Thank you for sharing. I’m super excited about this new series. Hugs, CoCo

Awe, thank you CoCo. That makes my day hearing that! I think it will be a lot of fun finding the inspo. A couple of those accounts were new to me as well! So much beauty out there.
Wow-great post! Love the ideas but most of all, your analysis of each inspiration photo is very educational and really really helps with maybe taking some of these ideas and applying them to my own situation. Thanks! Keep ’em coming!!

You are so sweet Elle, thank you! I was trying to figure out how to make it helpful without going into a ton of explanation. Then I thought it didn’t explain enough so you’ve made my week! Hope your weekend is a good one.

Thanks bunches Julie! I never thought of it that way. Sometimes I think what attracts me is a little weird. That’s because though I have a 5th grade level of humor. Just in case you didn’t know that about me yet. LOL
Cindy.
I love all this coffee bar inspo.

Yay Rachel, thank you! Enjoy the weekend.
I just love this post because I am planning to change a corner in my kitchen for a coffee station. It will be near the breakfast table & away from the kitchen work areas. I have a wicker settee there now with a small bookcase for cookbooks. I rarely use those cookbooks anymore since I use the internet or go too my fav recipes in my head. I love that settee and will keep it there, it is a great spot to wait on pots to boil or cakes in the oven.
I want a built in unit with storage doors on bottom & glass doors above and a Granite surface for the Nespresso.
It is fun to look at all the ideas from others. Thanks for posting those pictures. Have a wonderful weekend.

Your idea for a coffee station sounds wonderful Patricia and I’m so glad you love this post! I was hoping the response would be positive and not something people have seen over and over. Hope each weekend will be as inspiring. BTW, you never know… If you post a photo somewhere, it could end up on the blog! π
Great idea for a series, Cindy. We donβt drink coffee, but I love vignettes. Can always learn something new!
