Howdy! Can you believe fall is only about a month away?! Hip Hip Hooray! Let me show you my excitement again. HIP HIP HOORAY!!! Woo Hoo! Bring it on! π
Can you tell I adore fall? I think most of us in Texas love fall, all that comes with it, and agree it doesn’t last long enough. So you’ll see me putting out my fall decor before September 22nd.
Some friends and I were talking about the fabulous season and our plans to make the most of it when someone asked where I buy my decor. That wasn’t an easy answer. Sometimes it’s in a retail store but other times they’re from a vintage market fair, flea market, antique store or even from the side of the road. None of which is easily accessible. They were disappointed which makes me sad so I decided today to share some of the beauties you’ll see this fall, what makes them popular and where to find them!
Fall decor you can find today!
You’re going to see a lot of metallic’s this season. Everything from rustic and elegant, to farmhouse and traditional. It’s out there. Everything you see but the blush and velvet pumpkins are from Kirkland’s. The blush/sequined pumpkins and balls (not online yet) are from Pier 1. They also have dishes and vases and pillows to coordinate as well.
If you aren’t into the oranges and reds for fall, it’s okay. Neutrals are popular all year round. You’re going to find lots of great texture to choose from. Throws with soft nubbiness (is that a word?), pillows with a heavy tapestry like feel to it and fringe galore! All of the pillows and throws are from Pier 1. The black and white checked things are from Hobby Lobby. Buffalo check is popular and very versatile for a pattern. You can see how I used checks in my dining room here.
The woodsy creatures, printed word pillows, heavily textured pumpkins and the deep rich colors will always be around and will always scream fall. Don’t be afraid to mix things up a bit with the oranges and reds. Look at the pillow in the frame on the bottom right. When I put the plaid pillow behind it, a lady walked up and said she would have never thought to put those together. We talked a while about using the same pumpkin pillow with the green chair and just by adding an aqua pillow or gold pillow instead, gave it an entirely different look. She learned something new, bought both pillows and left the store happy. Everything in this collage is at Pier 1 except the Owl frame. It’s at Hobby Lobby.
I wish I could meet y’all at a store one day and just play in the pillow section. We’d have a ball!
Which store are the large acorns from?

Those super cute larger acorns are at Kirkland’s. If they aren’t on sale, you can get a 25% off purchase coupon online! Hurry in today. LOL. Does that sound like a commercial? π
Cindy I love all of your ideas. I love fall too and this rainy weather is really getting me in the mood for fall!!!!! Those pillows are so cute, love the sequin/velvet pumpkins. I have a collection of velvet pumpkins, I may try adding a few sequins of my own to them!!! Or not. Might be easier to head to Pier 1. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you Tammy. You made me laugh. I would rather buy the pumpkins with sequins already on them than deal with those tiny things. I draw the crafting line on glitter. π
Thanks these are some great things for Fall. I usually buy at least one thing new and maybe some material for a pillow cover cause i have some things i use every year, pumpkins, acorns, me and my grandchildren have picked up,and leaves i have pressed in a book.

I just started with the black and white and love it. You are right! Itβs a great base! Thanks for visiting today! π
Even though we still have a ways to go with summer, I’m pretty pumped about fall this year. I always find wonderful things at Pier 1. In fact, it’s hard to walk out without all the things. I’ve found beautiful pumpkins at TJMaxx too.

Yes. I love our HomeGoods but hesitated adding goodies from there since that fab Find is rarely there when you go back. And I agree, it sure I ever left Pier 1 empty handed. π¬
