Hello Friends and Loved Ones (that’s actually ALL of you). 😉 It’s almost Valentine’s Day and soon we’ll be making googly eyes at our loved ones, making dinner plans or maybe even a hotel stay. Maybe showing affection to a grandchild or chaperoning a school dance or possibly just passing out candy to a second grade class. Either way, most of us will be celebrating the day of luuuuuuv so just in case you want to do it up, here are some Valentine’s Day Decor Ideas.
Valentine’s Day Decor Ideas
Last year I did a little decorating for Valentine’s Day. You can see that here and here. It was the first time I’ve ever really decorated for the day. I liked all of the pink around so I’m going to decorate again this year, even if it’s just the Mister and I. In deciding, I looked at my Valentine’s Day Pinterest board and found a lot of cute ideas. Check it out.
Decor Idea #1
I love this heart shaped wreath with the flowers. It looks exactly like I think Valentine’s day should look; romantic, playful, bright and cheery. And the Mister knows, I love flowers, especially pink roses! Hint hint. 😉
Decor Idea #2
You know I’m all about vintage and this photo makes me want an old scale something terrible! There’s just something about white rusty metal that makes my heart sing and the Toile teacup is the perfect Valentine vessel!

If you’d like to make some adorable heart sachets, my friend Heather made these and the link will send you straight to her DIY. Red striped ticking fabric that smells great too? Yes please!

When I saw this one, I immediately thought I have branches out in the yard. I also have construction paper and a white vase. This is doable and would look great on the dining room table.

I have several books around the house that I could transform into decor like this. But I like the idea of someone else way more crafty than me, making them. All I’d have to do is wait by the door for them to arrive. Yep, I like that idea.
Decor Idea #5

Last but not least for the Valentine’s Day door decor ideas is this one. I have lots of empty frames. All I’d have to do is either make a heart of some kind or purchase one from somewhere. And I already have plenty of ribbon. So cute!
I hope you found some ideas you might want to incorporate. My problem will be choosing only a couple. I don’t want the house to look like a Hallmark store or a cheesy smooching booth. Wait, maybe I do!
As usual Cindy I love it all ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you Barbara! Hope you are doing well?! ❤️
I really like the framed red heart, and was surprised that several of these were not your original decorations. I’m still trying to figure out where you got your fondness for old, rusty metal. Not from my genes. Must be your dad’s genes (Wrangler Slim Fit, Cowboy Cut). 😍 My favorite is the books! Hope you and “just the mister” enjoy your Valentine’s Day.

That’s funny that you mentioned dads jeans. He never wavered. I loved all of those looks and that rusty metal scale is definitely on my list of must finds! I’ve seen several but none ever speak to me. I’m picky. As if you didn’t already know that. 😉
Great inspiration Cindy. I bring out my red and pink transferware by the end of January. Adding dried rose buds makes it perfect until spring
