Howdy Folks! So remember a couple of days ago when I joined the Supper Club ladies and shared a Friendsgiving tablescape? Well, today I’m sharing all the fabulous recipes for the Friendsgiving Brunch! Each recipe is linked at the bottom so make sure and check them out. I was in charge of a side dish and I have to say – Y’all, I outdid myself with it and this fall fruit salad makes the perfect side dish!
If you like easy, tasty and want to be the most popular girl with a side dish, I’ve got you! This is it!
And if you’re going in order and are hopping over from Brick’s & Blooms, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Did you imagine yourself licking the bowl with her pumpkin soup? It’s okay to admit. I know I did. ๐
This Fall Fruit Salad Makes The Perfect Side Dish!
You might be asking yourself what makes this salad so special and why is it called a “Fall” fruit salad. Well let me tell you. This particular salad is filled with red juicy apples, red seedless grapes, blackberries, pecans and has a dressing that reminds you of Autumn. It has so many flavors, it screams fall with juicy yumminess!
And it has a bonus. It’s one of the easiest side dishes I’ve ever made because the assembly takes about 15 minutes total and will serve 6 – 8 friends. Seriously easy peasy.
Fall Fruit Salad:
I prefer to start with the dressing. You’ll need:
1 large orange
2 tablespoons of syrup
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
In a small bowl, zest the entire orange and squeeze out all the juice you can. Watch for any seeds. You don’t want those. Then add the syrup and cinnamon. Combine thoroughly with a whisk and set aside.
For the Fruit Salad you’ll need:
2 large sweet apples
16 ounces red seedless grapes
12 ounces blackberries
1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
Cube both apples leaving the skin on. Then cut the grapes in half.
In a large bowl, combine apples, grapes, blackberries and pecans. Now pour in the dressing and toss evenly making sure everything has a nice coating. I like serving this delicious salad immediately but it will last in a Tupperware container for a day or two in the refrigerator. Just beware the apples get less crunchy the longer you keep it stored.
I am not lying when I say this Fall Fruit Salad makes the best side dish. It looks and smells like fall. It tastes like fall and you’ll want to serve it at any Autumn party, Thanksgiving and even Christmas! Heck, it’s so addicting, you might want it on Easter! Not kidding.
