Welcome to another Pinterest Challenge. I have really come to enjoy these. This month is a little different. If you peruse Pinterest you’ll find more ideas for moms than you can shake a stick at. So this time we are sharing a gift idea for Mother’s Day so each blogger will have something a little different. To get us started I’m sharing let’s make, bake, or take something exciting this Mother’s Day!
If you’ve arrived here from Decor to Adore, thanks so much for stopping by! I thought Laura’s velvet bookmarkers were so pretty and go so well with Carol’s idea too! Both ladies are so sweet, very talented bloggers and dear friends that live close to me. I love it!
Let’s make, bake, or take something exciting this Mother’s Day!
Okay, let’s begin. I’m not super crafty but as I was looking back at some of the things I’ve made my mom, I was pretty proud of myself. They weren’t things only a mother could love, they were actually cute.
Something to Make
This little hat “wreath” is perfect for any mom who likes to garden or wish they were gardeners. It’s easy to make full of lovely spring color and the cost was literally 5 dollars since I got everything from Dollar Tree. You can find the tutorial by clicking here. It’s super easy!
This stamped spoon wind chime was a favorite of mine. I wish one of my kids would make one for me. The names on the spoons were all the grandkids names. If they kept having babies, it would be simple to keep adding more spoons. To find the tutorial for this, click here. The gift that keeps on giving!
Something to Bake
I take after my mom. We love cake! Not just any cake. Our favorite is Pig Pickin’ Cake/Mandarin Orange Cake. I grew up on it and it’s perfect for a Mother’s Day celebration. You can find the recipe here. But if she isn’t a cake eater, bake whatever she likes most. Maybe it’s a cookie. Maybe pie.
If I had to describe this no-bake strawberry lemonade icebox pie, I’d have to say addicting. It’s the perfect amount of tartness. And for a girl who wants quick, it doesn’t get much easier. Click here for the recipe. I bet this pie takes her back to the good ol’ days when summer was riding bikes barefoot, drinking from the hose and swimming in the creek.
Something to Take
This momma couldn’t be more proud of her youngest daughter. If she wants something, she puts her mind to it and gets it done. Recently, she decided that on her off time she wanted to have a floral pop-up shop. She and her husband made the rolling cart and the welcome sign and she’s been wildly successful!

She allows customers to choose their favorites and she’ll turn them into the perfect bouquet fresh from the flower farm. They can also sign up to have a pop-up shop for their next event. I know it sounds like a shameless plug but really, it’s a question of what do you get the mom who has everything… A fresh bouquet of flowers of course! π
I hope you have inspiration for making, baking or taking something exciting this Mother’s Day! My friends below have fabulous ideas too. Don’t miss one! Next up is CoCo from The Crowned Goat. Her calendar idea is so special and cute. Mom will love it!
There are some very clever ideas in this Pinterest challenge but I miss the original concept of taking an inspiration photo and doing one’s own take on it, I hope you’ll be returning to that format.

We will definitely go back to that! Sometimes bloggers need and want to break out but I love those challenges too. I believe May, June and July are all back to the regular challenges. Thanks so much for visiting!
Great ideas, Cindy. The desserts sound delicious!

It’s like a 2 for 1! And nothing will go to waste. π Thanks Renae
So many great ideas Cindy! I just emailed Megan this post. I think having a pop-up flower event at one of her bridal showers would be so fun! Thank you so much for organizing the PC.

Thank you Laura. π And I totally agree about the pop-up! Everyone LOVES those! Have a great week.
Great ideas, Cindy. I wish I could have come to the pop-up flower shop. It reminds me of street flower vendors in Europe. Cake looks yummy. Let us know the next time/place of the next pop-up. Thank you so much for this monthβs PC idea. I loved it.

I can see that! It’s just a whole vibe when she’s out there. So fun. Thank you Carol and I’ll keep you posted.
I love all these creative ideas, Cindy! Moms can be SO HARD to shop for sometimes because they don’t always tell you what they want and if they’re a certain age, it feels like they have everything already. Not only are these ideas easy, they’re also thoughtful too! Thanks so much for putting this hop together and for asking me to be a part of it. It’s always so much fun to see what you’re creating no matter what the season. Big hugs and wishing your baby girl all the success in the world for her fabulous flower pop up, CoCo

Thank you so much. Buying for my mom is definitely difficult. She’d act grateful about any gift but it will sit in her closet and never get used so for me, doing her all-time-faves is the way to go. Thanks for the sweet wishes for Addi too. Have a great week.
Cindy, every single one of these is such a great idea! I want one of everything lol! That cake looks amazing, I adore the spoon chime (no grandkids yet though so I’ll save it for later – fingers crossed!) I love the floral pop up shop idea of your daughters, how exciting that it’s going well for her! Happy early Mother’s Day to you my friend, so thankful for you!!

Aww, thank you Cindy. Happy early Mom’s Day to you too. Hope you get to spend it with all of your kiddos. I know they are spread out but one can hope. π
Nice variety of ideas, Cindy! Of course, anything home baked always makes a person happy…and flowers, of course! Your daughter’s pop up is too cute; what a fun idea. Yes, you can be a proud momma, for sure!

I love being around when people are buying the flowers. Everyone says they are so pretty and when they tag her in a post, it lights up her day. Thank you Lora. Hope you have a great week.
Great ideas and the food made me hungry, thank Cindy.

I know, right?! It feels the same when I go to the grocery store before a meal. Have a great week Marlene and thanks for the visit.
I love all these sweet ideas Cindy, and would be thrilled to receive any of these treats or gifts. Of course I love receiving or buying flowers more than anything else. I’m so sorry I missed your daughter’s pop up flower shop. That bouquet is absolutely gorgeous!

I’ll keep you posted. Maybe next time we can all go together and have lunch around there too. Carol said she wanted to go. Girls day fun! Thank you Michelle.
