Lately, I’ve been playing with more color. Specifically pink. Pink has always been my favorite color but I’m not daring enough to use it in our home. I incorporated pink at the farmhouse once and loved it. Well, this is the year for small touches of pink. Let’s begin with just enough color in a cheerful spring home tour to keep me and the Mister happy.
Just Enough Color In A Cheerful Spring Home Tour
Today is the 2025 Spring Home Tour with my blogging friends. I can confidently say, we all love home and home decor. Those are the best kinds of friends! Did you land here via Thistle Key Lane? Welcome and thank you for visiting today! Michelle is a girl after my own heart with her neutral color palette. And did you know she is an amazing artist?
Candle sconces don’t have to be used with just candles. Try a vase of flowers instead.
If you are a frequent guest here then you know I love neutral colors. Last year I painted the kitchen Sherwin Williams Privilege Green accompanied by adding more color everywhere else in the house. It’s been a thing. However, set off a bigger smile and a little more pep in my step as I walk around the house.
Spring Entryway
Here is the entry. This view is when we enter from the garage. The way the entry is mostly behind the door has always been a thorn in my side. But at least it’s cozy when we come in from the garage. The sconce in the above photo is on the opposite side of the entry. It’s a view from the kitchen doorway.
In my mind, spring decor should always incorporate lots of greenery, flowers and an occasional rabbit. Much like horses, cows, lambs, and dogs, rabbits can work year round.
Entry as you walk in the back door from garage.
The bunnies are cute but more importantly, spring should stir our hearts toward Easter. For me, Easter is the cross and our Savior’s resurrection. If it weren’t for that we’d all be going to hell.
Easter is a pivotal event that confirms His divinity, validates his teachings, and offers hope of eternal life and reconciliation with God. Yes, it’s that amazing!
Dining Room
This is the first time I’ve hung plates over the mantel and it’s my favorite spring mantel to date! It all started when I found my inspiration piece. It was the green and white bunny plates from HomeGoods. They only had four and I keep going back to get more but no such luck.
If you’re wondering about the skirt under the mantel, it covers the picture rail molding. We thought if we ever sold the house, we’d want to take the mantel with us. It will be easier to patch the holes from the removed mantel than to add the molding back to match the rest of the room. Make sense?
The flowers and basket are from Hobby Lobby. The flowers remind me of weeds. Pretty but still weeds. LOL! I already had the white chargers and the green and white floral plates. Another HomeGoods find last year. The small spring plates at the top are vintage and a new treasure. There were 4 in the set. 2 with rabbits and 2 with ducks and chicks. Gaaah! So cute!

Another new decor fixation is Cabbageware. Besides its whimsical cuteness, why has it gotten so popular? Are the grand-millennial style lovers why I can’t find it anywhere? I wish I had a full set of the green plates and serving pieces but I cannot justify the price. So the still-super-cute knockoffs it is.
Keeping the spring touches going around the room, I added faux hydrangeas to what I think is an ice bucket. Not sure it’s very old but I found it in a booth at an antique store. It certainly fits my spring vibe.
I’m not sharing the kitchen this time. It’s a mess. But for those that are new here, if you walk from the dining room through the kitchen you find the breakfast area.
Breakfast Area
Honestly, if I had my way we’d turn the dining room into my office and the breakfast area into the one and only eating space.
But we often have friends over, our church homegroup over, and family for the holidays so we need both tables. That means my office is still in the guest bedroom. Bleh.
Living Room
I’m excited to share the pink and green living room. I really enjoy sitting in here. It’s all the splashes of pink.
In my opinion, pillows are the easiest and least expensive change for seasonal decor. I love these covers from Amazon but I ordered the 16 inch and they are super tight. WIth the down inserts, they should have more room. And I’m not sure the zipper is going to hold up after they get switched later on. They are okay so far but it’s only been a couple of weeks. I’ll add the link but I don’t recommend them.
Last year if I had seen this canister I would have passed. This year when I saw it I snatched it up and think it’s darling! It fits the plant perfectly. I didn’t take the plant out of its original pot so it might be repurposed again later. Either way, she’s a keeper.
Around here topiaries are expensive. And most of them are a round ball. I have a couple of those but I prefer the floppy look. So, for the spring occasion I made these. The small pots were white so brown lunch sacks to the rescue again! 😉

This 3 drawer chest is new to me. It was in my late father-in-laws room. It is well worn and could use some tlc but I love the addition of storage. Right now it’s holding candles and cloth napkins. No need to pass this little bit of info on to the Mister but it looks like I have room for more!
The seating arrangement isn’t so much different as is what’s behind the chairs. I moved the black console table from behind the sofa to behind the checked chairs. And as you can see the cubby shelf is where the other console table and mirror were.
This little round table has some stains on the top but adding a crocheted basket on top covers them up nicely.
It’s Josephine!
Y’all, if you don’t already follow Alison Friend on Instagram, you should! Her paintings have my heart and make me smile every single time I see one. The subject matter is so adorable I just can’t stand it! That is Josephine up there. If that doesn’t bring a smile and a giggle, your smiler is broken. Josephine was a gift but I’m thinking an entire gallery wall of these little cuties!!!
Well, was that just enough color in a cheerful spring home tour for ya? I hope you enjoyed seeing it and found a little inspiration. Next up is my friend Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse. I love her kitchen and bet you will too.
Cindy, happy Spring girl! Everything looks so pretty at your house. I’m going to be studying your vignettes because they always inspire.

Everything is just lovely! I adore the touches of pink, and I think your family room was the perfect spot for it. I envy your foyer space and the cabinet in there. I love seeing both of your homes!

I really appreciate your sweet comment Christy. I guess I should be more grateful for the size and being able to add such a large hutch in there?! Thank you for the gentle reminder. 😉
Cindy, I’m so proud of you for adding some pops of pink to your home for spring. It goes with everything this time of year and complements your neutrals. Your rearranging of furniture is always fun. Thanks for hosting the hop. It makes me finish my spring decorating.

It was a stretch to add the pink but I truly love it and am going to be more bold in adding color from now on! Thanks so much Carol. Cheers to Spring!
Your home is beautiful! I especially love the plates over your mantle. After seeing yours, I’m thinking of doing that in my entry around the mirror. If pink is your favorite color, I think you should go for it. I love pink, too, and have used it in my dining room along with yellow and green. It’s the happiest room in our home! My husband loves it too, Happy Easter!

I’m excited to hear you’ve been inspired to add plates around your mirror Ellen! That makes my day! I think I’ll continue adding more color around the house. Maybe I’ll be extra bold and add pink to the dining room! Say whaaat?! My friends would love it but think I had a fever. LOL. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Hope you have a wonderful day!
Cindy, I love all your beautiful pops of pink in your spring spaces. Your home is so lovely, especially your gorgeous green kitchen color. The green slat door behind your console and the black fireplace surround are such show=stoppers. It’s all beautiful and understated. Happy Spring, Cindy. Thanks so much for putting the tour together!

Aww, thank you Debra. You made my day! I enjoy mixing old and new pieces but the old ones pull the heartstrings. And you mentioned my two faves. Happy spring friend!
Everything looks so pretty!!! I love your plates hanging above the mantle. I have your bunny plates but in blue from Home Goods. You mentioned trying to find more. I once went to seven Home Goods to complete a set of Johnson Brothers transfer ware looking dishes. Sometimes, a girl has to do what a girl has to do!!! lol. Happy Spring to you!!!!

LOL Cynde, you are a girl after my own heart. Every time I am near a different HomeGoods I pop in only to be disappointed. They need more! Thanks for stopping by and enjoying the tour. Happy spring!
I love what you said about our Savoir, and it is so true. You have some great pieces and enjoyed looking at all your areas and the way you decorate. Thanks and have a lovely day.

Beautiful Spring home tour Cindy! I do like the little pops of pink, along with the green as a constant! Yes, SO THANKFUL FOR THE CROSS and JESUS!! Thanks for walking us through your home, it was fun to see some spots I don’t think I’d seen before. And your tip to cover a pot in brown paper bag was brilliant! Sometimes I miss those ‘duh’ moments lol :/ Pinned

Thanks so much Cindy! I can’t even count how many times I’ve covered a pot with a brown paper bag. LOL. Hope you have a blessed Easter!
Your home is beautiful! I saw your Cloverbloom Cheese Box and just had to have one. Just bought mine on EBay.

How fun Helen! I got mine from my Father-in-law! Thank you for the sweet comment. I hope you continue commenting! Hope you have a wonderful week.
Your homemade floppy topiaries are great and I LOVE the paper bag idea! I noted how I liked them and THEN read about them! The splashes of pink are sooo fun! I’m so glad you went for it!
Author
Thanks bunches! I’m not sure one can have to many topiaries! Inside, outside, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, in the bedroom and living room… LOL! I’m glad I went for the pink too. The Mister hasn’t said a word! 2 thumbs up!
I’m definitely feeling cheerful after seeing your spring tour Cindy! Just the right amount of color, plus your styling on shelves and cubbies draws me in every time. Too many items to list, but I did notice the oversized framed on the little watercolor. 😉 Love that, and Josephine too! What a hoot! Happy spring sweet friend!
