Hello Beautiful Friends! Remember a couple of weeks ago when I mentioned in our fall family room that I loved the new candle sconces I found at Vintage Market Days? Well I was able to visit the store that had the booth where I found them. It’s called Kerr’s Home and I loved it! I think it’s going to be my new go-to store whenever I’m in Navasota.
Kerr’s Home Inc. is located in Montgomery, TX and totally worth the stop. Not only do they carry new unique home decor items but they sell great vintage pieces too.
Kerr’s Home Inc.
See the two iron pieces on the back wall? I wasn’t leaving the store without those. They are super heavy, chippy white and fantastic looking! I’ll show you another time where I hung them at the farmhouse. Need to get some heavy duty hangers first before the Mister has a conniption.
And check out this vintage baby shoe and how they’ve displayed it. Wouldn’t that be adorable for Easter or at Christmas time with a vintage ornament or maybe a bottle brush tree inside?
Why yes, yes it would!
Around the store are a few lovely furniture pieces. This vignette was sitting on a nice looking coffee table. The way they choose to display each item is so different and fun. Like the chunky brass candle holders. Why not add delightful faux plants instead of candles? What – no watering needed?! Yes please!
What is this exactly? A candle holder, a type of lantern, a cloche type thing? Whatever it is, it’s inimitably displayed. 🙂
Kerr’s Home, Inc. carries seasonal items like garland, various stems, candle rings, wreaths and berries as well as nice looking greenery. For those of us with brown thumbs, that’s a plus!
I love the table display with the tiny velvet pumpkin sitting atop the small creamer. And the texture on the pumpkin inside the open wall lantern is gorgeous!
I especially like the pumpkins with moss around the stems. They remind me of the Spanish moss hanging in the trees at the farmhouse.
The urns are perfectly sized for tables too. If used as a dining centerpiece, you can still see across the table and chat with your guests without having an obstacle right in front of your face. Is it just me or does that drive you crazy too? We shouldn’t have to remove the centerpiece before eating.
Well I hope that you can see Kerr’s Home, Inc is worth the trip. By the way, they are just now getting their Christmas goodies out and I know they’ll be fantabulous. This means I see another trip in my near future.
They frequently have booths at various shows/markets and you’ll want to know where, so like their Facebook Page and follow their Instagram account. But I think the best thing would be to check them out in person. Just don’t forget a truck to haul back all of your goodies! We could also meet there and have lunch in town! Montgomery has several great dining options too.
I love everything about that store what a great find. I love those iron pieces can’t wait to see what you do with them. I will definitely follow them they have great ideas too.

I couldn’t take all the photos because there would be way too many and I felt guilty because the Mister was sitting in the car watching the OU football game. :/ Boy was he surprised when the store manager and I came out with our arms full! LOL
Oh Cindy, this is a gem. So many beautiful pieces and I love those urns . So many uses for them throughout the year.
Loved the tabletop piece too. Looks like a cloche met a candle holder. Love it.
Thanks for sharing. Wish they had an online shop.
Enjoy your new gem.

Yeah, I wish they had an online store too. I bet it would keep them quite busy but they seem busy already. Hope you have a great weekend.
What a fun looking place. I just left Texas but I’ll have to add it to my list for my next visit.

Definitely add it for your next visit. Where did you go when you were here? Let me guess…Magnolia market? 🙂 If so, I hope you went to The Findery just down the street from there. It’s my favorite store. And the one across the parking lot is awesome too!
I wanna GOOOOO!

I don’t think I have ANYTHING like this in our area. Sigh… so the life of living in So Cal!

We do have great small historical towns around us with great antique/junk shopping which is right up my alley! I love love love doing that. The Mister calls it my hobby. I don’t consider shopping a hobby. At least you have nice weather. 🙂
Cindy I am in love! We have a niece and nephew that live in Tomball, I’ll definitely make Montgomery a must stop on my list. Such a beautiful store… thanks for sharing! I can’t wait to see where you hang those iron pieces!

Well, if anyone can make me feel excited about “old, chippy” things it’s you. That does look like a fun place to shop.
