Howdy Friends!  Happy Labor Day!  I hope you are enjoying your 3 day weekend?  I’m super excited because we’ll have 2 of our 3 kids here and my mom spending the night.  That means games galore for us!  Woo Hoo!  We’ll probably throw in a movie night too.  What are y’all planning?  Whatever it is, savor it, life is moving way to fast.

Last week I was doing some running around with a friend and found a cute little vintage toolbox.  I immediately loved the size, the rust and the mostly black color.  The sales lady mentioned it had been on the shelf a while.  She thinks it was because it had the white painted bird and boxes on one side.  I certainly wouldn’t let that stop me.  All you need is Goof Off to remove that.

I snatched it up and decided I was going to use it to hold paper plates and utensils at our next neighbor gathering.  I did give it a washing first and lined the bottom with paper towels.  Look how it turned out?  So cute.  I think my favorite part is knowing someone used it many years ago for handy work or chores.

Since fall is coming soon, I had gotten out some of the decor from the attic.  I literally had all of these next items piled on the table and threw them in with no plan or perfect placement.  Adding books inside to lift up the decor is all I did.

This would make a super quick fall centerpiece idea and would work for a small table.  Both sides are so loveable.

After playing around with it and toting it from place to place showing off my handy work to the Mister, I thought of one more thing.  I could put it on the kitchen counter and display some of my vintage china!  How fun would that be?  The juxtaposition of an old rusty toolbox holding beautiful delicate antique plates – Love it!
