Hello Friends! I was cleaning the house today and was prompted to write a post instead. No, it’s not my excuse to stop cleaning. I actually love to clean! But with this Easter being so different from others, I thought I’d give you a few ideas on how to make this Easter special.
How To Make This Easter Special
Morning Time Ideas
Start your day off with a not-so-ordinary breakfast. Want special Easter food ideas for the entire day? Check out this list by What Moms Love.
After breakfast we’ll celebrate by watching a live video from the church we attend. If your church doesn’t do this, I’m sure Google or your cities website will have a list.
Afternoon Fun
I’m sure the Easter egg hunt is tops on your list. But how about a Scavenger Hunt for the kids? Here’s a free printable by Happiness is Homemade.
If you have toddlers, here are some Easter activities for them from Growing a Jeweled Rose.
How about playing BINGO! We love this game and have played every holiday version out there. Here’s a free printable from Coffee With Us 3.
Here are a couple of free printable’s for an Easter Pictionary and a Seek-N-Find game by Fun Squared.
Here’s a Scavenger hunt for Teens. Free printable by Tater Tots and Jello.

And here are a few game ideas for the adults! You can check them out here by Playtivities. The Cheetos game sounds funny. Have your camera ready.
Don’t Forget To Set A Nice Table
Even if you use paper plates and plastic utensils, make each place setting special with something unique. Here is an easy paper or cloth napkin folding idea by All Recipes.
If you have the time, here’s how I cut unique lemon wedges for water and tea. Click here to see the DIY.
Before you eat, gather everyone together and tell each other one thing the Lord has done for you this year. Or tell everyone something you are sincerely grateful for.
Pray Together
If you aren’t accustomed to praying, here is a short prayer you can read.
Thank you Lord for what you’ve done for us.
Thank you for the gift of forgiveness and new life.
Please bless our food, our family and friends.
Help us to celebrate this season with joy.
Help us to rejoice in the good news of your resurrection.
Thank you Lord. Amen.
No matter what your Easter looks like this year, be grateful, be blessed.
What great ideas Cindy. We have so much to be thankful for. Have a blessed resurrection day ❤️

You are so thoughtful, thanks for all these ideas, i don’t know what i will do, thinking about going for a ride after my church video. Have a great day with your family and Happy Easter.

Marlene, I think you should Skype or Face Time a family member or friend. You could have lunch or dinner together over FaceTime! I would totally do that. Just having someone else to talk to wold be fun. Hope your Easter is nice.
I was 9 years old when I asked the Lord into my life on an Easter Sunday. As I look back over 50+ years, I can see how he has walked with me and has walked before me. As we live with the unexpected changes that life can bring, it’s comforting to know that even though life can change, he doesn’t. Happy Easter. He is risen!

Oh my golly! I can’t imagine the celebration you feel on each Easter Sunday! What a glorious day to be saved! Thanks for sharing that. I think that will be engraved on my heart forever. Wow, on Easter! I love it. Hope you have a wonderful celebration Karen. 🙂
I’m so ready for Easter Sunday at Cindy’s! You know we all have stories to share about His abundant blessings, and there’s no shortage of people willing to pray. I’m full as a tick, just thinking about all the food, and I can’t wait for the Easter version of Pictionary (says this non-artist). I know for sure it will be fun, elegant, delicious, but most importantly, family. Thanks in advance for hosting. Praise Him!

LOL, who said I was doing any of those things on the list? Just kidding. You know we’ll have Bingo and Pictionary for sure! And of course, lots of blessings to tell. Looking forward to it.
Really enjoyed your ideas. We had a lovely quiet day with church on Zoom. We have had holiday meals at my daughter’s for the last few years, so cooking a more special meal was different! So full that we had dessert for supper! Hope you and yours had a lovely Easter!

Yum. Dessert for supper is my kinda meal! I’m a cake eater. HA! We had a wonderful time and my nephew said this was the best Easter meal he’d ever had. LOL. He’s 24. Best part though was playing games together and just being blessed. Glad you liked the ideas and thanks so much for the visit and comment!
What a sweet message to all on this Easter day. I hope you are staying safe and healthy.

I knew you’d like The Chosen! I must be a cry baby since I cried at something in every episode! I love how they gave each Disciple life through their personalities. Glad you liked the post. Thanks for the visit Julie.
Cindy I love your attitude and your ideas to make a bad situation good. Thanks for sharing.

Did you craft a table out of wood chopped from your own trees or make a table runner from bunny fur?! Whatever you did, Ms. Crafty, I hope it was fantastic! Ours was definitely memorable. In a good way! Thank you for the visit!
This is such a great list, Cindy! It was super weird not to be with our family but we definitely appreciated being able to see them via face time and to stream church. We did make a special breakfast and set the table with my Grannys china. It was definitely an Easter we’ll never forget but I’m so ready to hug my Mom and sisters 🙂 Hope and your family had a happy one as well. Big hugs, CoCo

Ours was definitely one to remember. I got a video of our adult/college age kids pushing each other as they had an Easter egg hunt. Big laughs there. We are blessed. 🙂
