Hello my favorite friends! It’s the fourth Tuesday of the month and that means it’s Pinterest Challenge Day! I love love love these challenges and the group of ladies that hop with me. If you’re coming over from First Day of Home, welcome and happy spring! Did you love Crissy’s pink table? I did! This month it’s all about birdhouses and I’m sharing how to create an easy spring table centerpiece. I’m using the oh-so-cute birdhouse I got from Emerging Green.

How To Create An Easy Spring Table Centerpiece
Hymns and Verses
Our inspiration photo this month comes from our friend over at Hymns and Verses. Doreen shared her beautiful spring tablescape using a birdhouse. Because this is a Pinterest Challenge, that means I’m going to use her photo to design a centerpiece similar to hers but in a way that works for my style.
The original Emerging Green Birdhouse
What I noticed about Doreen’s beautiful tablescape was the tall birdhouse, the bird nest with eggs, the spring floral stems, the bucket with a plant in it, the vintage jars with flowers and the basket tray holding it all together. It’s beautiful! So here’s how I’m going to incorporate those elements for my spring centerpiece.
There’s good news and bad news.
Bad news first. I don’t have a tall birdhouse or a nest with eggs, or a cute bucket for a plant. Surprised? Me too. I also don’t want to go out and shop for new things.
The good news is, I know how to improvise and shop my home. Since I don’t have a tall birdhouse I decided to use the adorable birdhouse sent to me by Emerging Green. You can see what it looked like when it arrived in the photo above. I like the rustic natural look but you guys know I love white even more! ๐
I am going to make the birdhouse appear taller by using a cake stand. You could use books, a stack of plates or anything sitting around for a base if your birdhouse is small like mine.
Use what you already have.
Backside of Spring Centerpiece
Putting all of this together starts with a tray. Doreen used a woven tray and I chose the white one I’ve had for years. And since I don’t have a bucket with a plant, I’m using a wreath. Yep, the wreath will fill up the large tray very nicely with it’s extra greenery and flowers. It works as a filler like the nest with eggs and the plant in the inspo photo. This wreath practically decorates the entire tray for me!
In our inspiration photo, there are tall flowering stems in vintage jars. I chose a few old jars but decided to use shorter faux daisy’s instead. I could have used tall stems but I prefer keeping centerpieces low so everyone sitting at the table can see the beautiful smile of the person across from them. If I were to make the centerpiece for everyday use, I would have totally added taller stems for drama. ๐
It’s the easiest centerpiece I’ve ever made.
Bunny plates from Pier 1
Well that’s how to create an easy spring table centerpiece using the cutest birdhouse from Emerging Green. And my word, because I used the wreath, it’s the easiest one I’ve ever made! I plan to use wreaths on the table more often. Why not? Add a candle in the middle and boom, you’re done!
It’s time to hop on over to A Stroll Thru Life and see her pretty table. She has a much more dignified and luxurious style. The complete opposite of me. LOL. Don’t forget to check out the others below. They are amazing!
What a beautiful centerpiece you made Cindy! I love it! And that birdhouse is adorable. Thank you for including me in the challenge this month! xoxoxo

I’m about to head that way Laura. I’ll be thinking of you and all that work you put in the last time you were there. :/
I love that you made what you had work for you, and putting your birdhouse on the cake stand to elevate it was a great tip! I love all the whites and greens, so perfect for Spring!

My youngest (22 years) was bored one day so I had her stamp it for me. I think it turned out pretty cute too. Hope you go back and do that to yours as well. Thanks so much Niky!
I love it, it’s very pretty, a wreath, I never thought of that. Daisies are so perfect for spring tables and besides I love them, thanks Cindy.

Thanks Laura. The bunny is made of embossed tin. Got it at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago and painted it white last year. You know I love me some white. Happy Spring!
I love how you painted and decorated that plain Jane birdhouse to make it look super cute. Using a cake stand to elevate it and a floral wreath to fill the bottom of the tray were both great ideas. The faux Daisies are pretty and like you said, everyone at the table can see over them. I look forward to the Pinterest Challenge each month. Thank you so much for hosting and organizing it.

Very sweet of you to say Christy, thank you. I’d forgotten all about those bunny plates. They sat unused and were hiding under some plain white plates. It will be fun using them this year. Happy Spring!
Using a wreath on the table is brilliant! That idea never occurred to me. Love how it fills up the space of the tray. Your version is fresh and white for Spring; so cute!

It was my pleasure Barbara. That bunny used to be pink and as much as I love pink, that wouldn’t do. Plus I’ve been in a white and green mood lately. Looking forward to doing it somewhere else. Happy Spring!
This is so pretty and creative Cindy! I love your white birdhouse and that knob for the perch! And of course the wreath. So fun to be joining you this month! Thank you for hosting.

Thanks bunches Kim. I thought it turned out pretty darn cute. Some little bird family will love it. ๐
Amazing what a little bit of white paint will do and now you have a real birdhouse to put outdoors if you want. Nice touch with the welcome home greeting, you’ll have it rented out in no time! Of course I love the flower wreath. Brilliant!

LOL Michelle. We have a ton of birdhouses at the farmhouse. If we collected rent we’d have a nice chunk of change each month. ๐ I’m looking forward to adding this one to the bunch. Happy Spring!
Thanks for hosting this fun hop, as always, Cindy! You did such a great job adding charm to your birdhouse! Your vignette is perfect and goes so well with the mantel you shared recently. I also like how it complements your wall decor in the background. I’ve never heard of Emerging Green, but I stopped by the site. Love their eco-friendly and sustainable products. Pinning!

Thank you Crissy, glad you liked it. I am already doing another centerpiece because I’m about to hang the birdhouse outside for a new family. Hope they love it as much as I did making it?!

Yay Jennifer, I’m so glad you like to hop. These challenges are always so fun and I get new ideas each time. Enjoy and thanks for the visit!
Can you even with how cute this is, Cindy! You are so creative. I love all the layers you added and the stamped birdhouse is totally the star of the show. I want to stamp my birdhouse now too and welcome all the birds home for Spring. Hugs and fabulous job, CoCo

Well thank you! I can’t believe I’ve done something you hadn’t already done! I know they’ll love the clean house when they find it. Hope you week is awesome.
Your little birdhouse is so sweet! I love the little knob door! It all came together so pretty! Thanks for organizing and including me in these fun hops!
Author
Thank you Kristin. As cute as the birdhouse was in its original state, I needed to put my stamp on it. ๐ Now it matches the farmhouse.
Cindy – this is such a perfect springtime vignette! Sweet little birdhouse and knob!
Author
Awe, thank you both. I appreciate that and look forward to seeing little birdies in it soon!
Such a sweet centerpiece!! My fave part (except for that adorable birdhouse!) is the fact you used items you already had. It’s so creative to find new ways to use items you have in your home! I’m enjoying everyone’s projects on the hop, even though I am a bit late to the game! Happy Weekend!
Author
Thank you Cindy. I definitely like using what I already have. Shopping is one of my least favorite things to do. Unless it’s furniture. ๐ And it’s never to late to stop by. We all appreciate it! Hope you have a great weekend as well. ๐
