Howdy friends! It’s Pinterest Challenge Day and this will be one of the cutest challenges yet. It’s because I adore the inspiration photo. If you are hopping over from Everyday Edits, hello and welcome to my blog. If you aren’t familiar with a Pinterest Challenge, each participant gets the same inspiration photo and then changes it up to fit their own style in their own home. It’s amazing how one photo can have an endless amount of semblance. I’m going to share how to create a simple and charming Easter vignette using a chair.
How To Create A Simple And Charming Easter Vignette Using A Chair
This is our inspiration photo from Anderson + Grant. Wouldn’t you love seeing this each day? I would. It’s cheerful! Here’s what I see as my challenge. Find a chair, sit it in a prominent spot for optimal viewing, add a basket, a bunny, flowers and a throw blanket for extra coziness.
Step One: Find a chair.
Y’all, this chair vignette turned out sweeter than stolen honey! I loved putting it together and it’s so easy that anyone can do it. Seriously!
Start out with any chair. This one actually sits near the front door in the corner. The day I was taking these photos it was dark and rainy so I had to move it near a window. But it’s back by the front door and it puts a smile on my face daily.
Step Two: Grab your favorite throw blanket or quilt.
The next step would be to find a throw blanket. In the Anderson + Grant inspo photo, she’s added a blanket to the inside her basket along with flowers. I don’t have a blanket to fit and my style is all about mixing adding old things with new things so this vintage quilt with spring colors is perfect here.
Step Three: Grab a basket, a bunny and some flowers.
Something else I changed to better suit my style was the bunny. Mine isn’t that big so tucking it inside with the pink tulips seemed more logical. I made it a few years ago and if you’d like to see that DIY, click here. Nope, it’s not made of chocolate. 😉
Step Four: Choose a fun detail.
Not sure I can pick just one thing to be a favorite in this vignette. They are all fantastic to me! The vintage quilt, the not-so-chocolate bunny, the basket from Hobby Lobby, the faker than fake tulips AND THAT ADORABLE TAG! Look at the other side.
Isn’t that precious?! Do you have an old quilt that you’d like to turn into tags? It’s not hard. Just sew the manilla tag together with the fabric following the edge of the paper. That’s it! Gaaaah! I love them. The only crummy things about these fun tags is that when you make them, you don’t want to give them away. A bigger issue is that I can’t stand cutting up my vintage quilts. Not even the really raggedy ones. So I’d encourage you to find already cut up quilt squares at an antique store.
Well that is how to create a simple and charming Easter vignette using a chair. Just make sure you can put the chair in a place you can see it often. I’m as happy as a hog in mud every time I see this one. Next up in the Pinterest Challenge is another Cindy. She’s from DIY Beautify and you will love all of her spring vignette ideas.
Happy Easter Friends!
Cindy,
Your quilt and basket are both great. Thanks for organizing.

It’s raggedy but I love it. Thanks Rachel.
Cindy,
Your vignette is just precious! I love beautiful quilts and this one is stunning. I so thought that little bunny was real. I need to make a faux chocolate one now. If it were real in my house, the ears would already be gone. LOL! Such a sweet look!

Girl, I know all about the chocolate bunny being gone. When my kids had one (years ago) they would eat the tail first. Then the ears! LOL. Thanks bunches Christy!
This vignette is soon beautiful. I love everything about it. I’m swooning over the colors of the quilt.😍 The basket is the right shape for the chair., the bunny tucks in so effortlessly .
Can we talk about that cute tag…OMG!! I never have thought of something like that.. going to look at my fabric scraps and see what I have to make some❤

You are so sweet! Thank you Lorri. I love the tags too. I Even wrote the Happy Easter in pencil so I could erase it! I just can’t give them up yet. 😉 I didn’t think of fabric scraps. I’ll have to do that! Have a great week.
Cindy I love your vignette! Also, I have a stack of vintage quilt squares/scraps. You should come over so we can make a cute video together about making those ADORABLE tags.
Author
Yes! I’d love to come make a video with you! I can bring the tags if you want to provide the quilt scraps?! I’m excited. That would be so fun!!! Thanks Laura. XO
I love your take on today’s challenge. Using the quilt is genius, what a fabulous and welcoming creation. I am with you, this would be fun to see every day.

Thank you Ms. Marty. I have enjoyed it!
Cindy, I love your vignette. It’s so pretty. I’m so sorry that I didn’t get my pic and link to you. I thought that I had. I’ve been dealing with a concussion for the last few weeks and I don’t always keep everything straight. Hugs to you, my friend.

Oh wow, that’s scary Renae. Hope you are better soon! In the future, if you don’t get an email from me saying that I got it, always email or message me again to make sure. I don’t mind at all. Thank you!
Renae, I hope you are getting better and better! Life can sure be tough at times. I still have balance issues from two knocks in the head from students and last year, an 8’ fence post falling off where it was leaning. Many hugs and prayers… 🙏🏻💕
Adorable, Cindy!! Love that beautiful quilt!!
Author
Me too. Thanks Rachel.
I love everything about your chair vignette including the chair and the lighting looks so pretty from the window. Great use of the quilt, basket, bunny, tulips, and then there’s the TAG! That is so adorable! I want to invite myself to Laura’s to make one too! 😀

Come on girl! We would all have so much fun. Except you’ll have to bring your own scraps. I’m not giving mine up! 😉
Love this challenge I do think it’s the best one yet. I love old quilts and all the beautiful colors in them and I love how you styled yours with cute bunnies and a basket of flowers.

Love your vignette and that sweet tag on your basket caught my eye. Thank you for organizing this fun event. I appreciate you including me.

Thanks Wendy! I have only 4 or 5 left of the tags. Aaaahhh!
Love your chair and that gorgeous quilt. I’m with you about cutting into quilts. Eeeeck. The tags are an adorable idea. And that chair looks so comfy. Happy week!
Author
The chair might look comfy but it’s not! It’s okay for about 30 minutes but there’s not enough cushioning. At least not for me. It’s still a fave though. Thanks Debra!
What a great idea to use a quilt! Such great ideas! Love these PC days! xo laura Once the temp warms up I am going to finish my aluminum chair spring makeover! Gotta find that can of spray paint! ha

LOL Laura. I know what you mean. There’s always something stopping me from finishing a project. Cheers and thank you very much!
Cindy I love your sweet vignette! That chocolate bunny is sooo cute and so is the vintage quilt! I love the idea of making quilt scrap tags but I would never want to give them away either, haha! Thanks for coming up with such a fun challenge, already looking forward to the next one 💕

I appreciate that Cindy, thank you. I’m determined to make so many that I HAVE to give them away. 🙂 That’s the only way I’ll change my selfish ways!
Your Easter chair vignette is so cozy and comfy… I LOVE that faux chocolate bunny! So cute! Everything looks lovely together! Pinned, and thank you for coordinating the hop!

Thank you Julie. I look forward to digging out that little bunny every year. Happy Easter!
“Happy as a hog in mud?!” You always crack me up, friend! I LOVE the addition of the old quilt; why didn’t I think of that? Probably cuz I was trying to figure out scallops;) Also love that quilt tag idea, cuz I’ve got oodles of cutter quilts; thanks!
Author
I can’t believe you didn’t think of it either considering I think you have the most creative mind in the history of junk loving people!!! But, I’m glad I was the one to inspire YOU for a change. As for cracking you up – you need to hang out with some Texans. That’s just an everyday saying. Happy trails!
Cindy, this is one of my favorite challenges. I love your use of a quilt and the pretty basket you chose. Thanks for choosing such a fun inspirational photo and hosting our Pinterest Challenge again.

Cindy, your chair vignette is perfect with the vintage quilt and Mr. Not Chocolate Bunny!!! Faux tulips are beautifully made these days. A really fun challenge!!! 🐇
Author
I know, right?! The tulips these days look amazing. These feel kind of rubbery. Thank you for the sweet comment Barbara. And the one to Renae. Happy Spring!
Be still my heart. This is so precious. Love the quilt and that adorable chocolate bunny. I need to make one for my home now. On my way next to see how.
Thanks for hosting, Cindy!

Aww, thank you. Once I chose the quilt, it came together nicely. It was all the peachy pink color for me. 🙂
Beautiful arrangement and that tag is the perfect final touch.
