Hey hey hey! I heard that we (Texas) were opening up retail stores again for curbside pick up! Oh my golly that is great news and I couldn’t be more thrilled! The news came just in time. I’m looking for new ideas to work with the new mantel I’m adding to the farmhouse. I already have a few ideas but to expand on some of them, I usually look at my Pinterest Page most of my favorites are there. I found a few and thought you’d be interested as well. Take a look at these Farmhouse Spring and Summer Mantel decorating ideas.
Farmhouse Spring and Summer Mantel Decorating Ideas
Y’all should know by now that I’m a huge fan of mantels. We have 3 mantels in our home in Highland Village (2 that I like, 1 that is a pain in the you know what) and now we’ll have one in the farmhouse in Navasota. The Mister found the new-to-me mantel on the Facebook Market Place for next to nothing. The homeowners were going a different direction and he new I’d want it so he snatched it up! It’s nice to have a husband that knows what I like. 😉 Here are a few of my faves from my Mantel Decorating Ideas board.
Navasota Farmhouse
Above is a photo of the wall where the mantel is going to sit. It’s large and will take up most of the wall so whatever I decide to do, I know the Mister is going to say I better love it because we’re putting more holes in the wall. I don’t understand why guys don’t like putting holes in walls. They are easily repaired so why the big deal? Anyway, this is how it was decorated last spring and if you’d like to see more of that room, click here.
Elizabeth Ann Designs
Here is the first mantel that caught my eye. It’s by Elizabeth Ann Designs is simple yet energetic. I like the empty frames, flowers and candles together. And I could use the topiaries I made as well. All seems easy, elegant and springy to me. Plus I have plenty of empty frames. Everything being white doesn’t hurt either! 😉
Liz Marie Blog
How bright and cheerful is this mantel by Liz Marie?! She has a gift for making me smile on a daily basis. I don’t think you can go wrong with lemons through the entire summer. You can change this one up by using botanical prints with dark greenery or nautical prints with a garland made of buoys or a landscape photo with a DIY floral banner. So many ways!
Hallstrom Home
This mantel by Hallstrom Home is so fresh looking. I love the white pottery with the natural wood tones and how they work so well with the straw hat. I also like the added greenery anchoring the ends. They hold everything together and make it all pop. Using a specific collection under the cloches could also work.
Our Prairie Farmhouse
You know I love me some blue bottles but this one by Our Prairie Farmhouse with the added terracotta pots is darling. I could keep this look a long time with clippings from the yard, faux flowers or both together! Nothing wrong with mixing real stems with good fakes.
Craftberry Bush
Craftberry Bush shared her mantel way back in 2013 but it’s still so stinkin’ cute! I think the teacups and saucers inside the frame is unique. Just think of all the things you can place inside of your cups. Honestly, I think I’d like them completely empty so the pretty patterns are more noticeable.
Well these 5 Farmhouse Spring and Summer Mantel decorating ideas have my brain turning for sure. I can hardly wait to start playing around with them and see what I come up with. I just need to get the Mister to screw the mantel into the wall. Wish me luck! 😉
I can’t wait to see your new mantle. What a wonderful hubby. I love all the ideas and I’m sure yours will be just a beautiful ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks Barbara. He is a wonderful hubby. Right now I’m struggling with the decision to paint it. It has walnut stain on it that matches the floors but everything else is either white, taupe or a natural wood color. We like the contrast but nothing I put on it seems to work. UGH!!!
Maybe you’re going to have to paint it white and distressed it and let that walnut show through a bit

That was the plan but the people who are with me (that have no taste) say leave it so I don’t know (insert rolling eyes)!
😂. Go for it.
I could spend all day looking at fireplace mantel inspirations. The ones you shared are so pretty. Love them all and are all so inspiring.
Can’t wait to see how your new mantel is going to look.
Have a great day my friend.

Me too Terrie. I love Pinterest and spend too much time on it that’s for sure. I hope things turn out better with the mantel decor than they are going at the moment. I spent half a day on it yesterday. You know when you start one project and the entire room looks like it exploded and you can’t even eat at the dining table for all the stuff sitting on it? That’s my life today. :0
Lots of cute ideas, i need to find me a mantel. I can’t wait to see how you decorate the one for the farm, it’s going to be so cute, i just know it.Have a good time and stay safe.

Thanks for the confidence Marlene but I’m not feeling it. Last night about 1:00 AM, I didn’t like anything about the room and pondered asking the Mister to unscrew it from the wall! Obviously, it’s not going well. But today is a new day. I have other stuff I have to get done but hope to work on it again this afternoon. Fingers crossed the Mister and I don’t need a counselor. LOL!
Just call me one lucky duck this week. I’m so grateful that y’all invited me to spend the week in Navasota with you. Relaxing, refreshing and rejuvenating all in one visit! I love seeing you work on your next post. So much fun to watch the magic happen. The new mantle is simply gorgeous and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product. This has truly been a blessed week. Thanks to you and the Mister for a wonderful break from the quarantine blues. I’d lock myself up with your clan any day. 💕

Glad to have you and you are always welcome. If you stayed much longer though I think we’d teach you how to take care of the animals. 😉
