Farmhouse Friday 389

Spread the love

Howdy my friends!  Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 389.  Have y’all ever had a terrible couple of days only to realize it’s your own doing?  I had a yucky Monday and Tuesday.  But who came to my rescue?  My youngest daughter.  In fact, all 3 of my adult kids helped in some way this week so I feel like I am riding a gravy train with biscuit wheels!  Isn’t it a fantastic feeling when your kids are grown, out of the house and they actually want to help?  Maybe it’s just me but I think it’s marvelous!

If you missed my last post on my new custom curtains, it’s helpful if you are needing a little guidance on window panels.  Check it out and let me know what you think.  It’s also got some pretty spring decorating ideas.  😉

Since it’s almost St. Paddy’s Day, the feature theme this week is rainbows!  So sit back, grab a bowl of Lucky Charms (yum) and check out these creative links.

Cindy, good morning! Sorry to hear that your Monday and Tuesday were not the best. But it’s always great to hear that you have loved ones to come to your rescue! That makes everything better for sure! I love your curtain post, and your curtains look beautiful. Also, I adore your throw pillows. As always, thank you for hosting this lovely link-up. Aww, thank you so much Steph. It’s true and I am one grateful momma. I love my curtains too. It will be very difficult to go back to purchasing curtains from Amazon! LOL

Thank you so much for featuring our “Good as Gold” post, Cindy! What fun to stop by and see us mentioned! We couldn’t agree more with how much we appreciate our grown kids and their running to our aid when needed! It’s a lovely feeling! Thanks for the drapery tips, too! They do make a statement, don’t they? Thanks again!

    Cindy,
I so agree that it is a fantastic feeling when your grown children want to help their parents…This past year, both my sons really stepped up to the plate to help me in the wake of their Dad’s passing….I am so proud of both of them….Jim has helped out with many physical things that I can not do myself even though he has his hands full with working opposite shifts from his wife so they do not need baby sitters for the twins, which is another thing that they did not want to put on me right after Joe passed away…And my oldest son Joey was by my side with everything that I had to do this past year and even went with me to my best friend’s funeral so I would not have to go alone…They have been such a blessing to me…
My Link Ups for this week’s Party are # 19 and 20!
Thanks so much for hosting this charming party!!! I truly do appreciate it as I do know the time involved with it….I hope you have a better weekend and week ahead….
    Hugs,
    Deb

Debbie, that makes me smile from ear to ear and it’s nice to hear all that Joey and the others have been with you during the most difficult times. I know we aren’t the only ones with great kids but it is not lost on me for the people that don’t have kids or kids that help. We are blessed. Hope your weekend is full of smiles. Thanks so much.

Cindy,, you’re so fortunate to have your kiddos living close by and that they can help out. I consider my grown girls my best friends. Thanks so much for having us over. Spring weather looks like it’s finally arrived!

Aww, best friends – I love that. Warms my heart. The Mister and I have talked about what we’d do if our kids moved. I’d follow them to the ends of the earth but won’t. He says absolutely not. Ayi yi yi. Why does he have to be so logical all the time. 😉

Great party, as always. I’m here early since I have the later shift at HL today. I agree… I’m honored and blessed when my kids help me! Give me warm fuzzies! Love ya, dear friend!

    • March 14, 2025 / 11:24 am

Warm fuzzies is a perfect way to describe it. I wish I lived close to you HL. I’d be in there all the time just to chit chat. Or maybe just get a job there too! Although that might be frowned upon depending on the amount of laughing loudness and lack or work getting done. Have a great weekend Julie and thank you!
