Hello my Homies and Happy New Year! I’m so glad you’re here joining me for Farmhouse Friday 379. How was your holiday? Did you party like it was 2025 or were you in bed before the new year rang in? We had some friends over to play games, have dinner and hung out until it was time to blow the proverbial horn. It was fun!
Are you a new years resolution kinda person? I am not but I do love making a list of things I’d like to accomplish. This year for me it’s about purging. We had some dear friends move to Arkansas and even though they downsized about a year ago, they still had so much to pack and move. I don’t want to deal with that if we ever move again, downsize or leave it to my kids to deal with when I’m gone. It’s an overwhelming thought! Plus, I figure I need to start now just in case it takes me more than a year to get this place in tip top shape.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 379
We could all use a little extra warmth and coziness this season so if you missed my last post, I shared several very easy ideas for decorating your home during winter. Check it out below.
7 Easy Home Decorating Ideas For Wintertime!
With all of the posts going around about saving money and “no-spend” month, I decided a theme of Great Ideas would be perfect. And that means this week’s features are just that – things that are good-to-know. Check each of them. They just might sway your New Year’s resolutions!
Natalie and Taylor at A Ray of Sunlight shows off their handy work and shares how we can darken the stain on an old dresser and turn it into something amazing! It’s definitely worth the pin and saving for later.
Doesn’t this outdoor area look welcoming? Sarah from Bold Wallflowers gives us great advice on the differences between restoration, refinishing, flipping furniture and when we should and shouldn’t do it. She gave me several things to think about. Loved this post!
Many of us decide to make money changes when a new year rolls around. Well, Julie at Filling The Jars has great tips on budgets and feeling less overwhelmed when you can’t or don’t want to spend much money. This post is totally worth reading and sharing.
Sometimes you just want a cup of potato soup but don’t want to make an entire tureen full. If so, Michelle from The Wooden Spoon Effect has made your day! Check out her microwave potato soup recipe and be prepared to be amazed and hungry. Just sayin’.
