Hello peeps! It’s time for Farmhouse Friday 371! And today is Halloween. I’ve been watching some of the kids strip down to half of their costume because it’s still hot. When I was young I always hoped for warmer weather. Not because I liked it but because when it was cold, mom made us wear coats over our costumes and that was terrible! I’m sure kids today are the same. Probably more so because costumes cost way more today than they did 50 years ago. 😉
Can you believe Thanksgiving is a month away? Man, where did the time go? Wasn’t it just Independence Day?
Thanksgiving Tablescape Ideas To Warm The Heart
If you missed my post on Thanksgiving tablescapes, check it out. There are several ideas to get you started and make your holiday a little easier. The table is more important to me than the food so it helps me to have a theme or a color scheme ahead of time. How about you?
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 371
Our theme this week is – maybe Cindy will branch out and make something for Thanksgiving other than mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese! At least a family can dream.
Julie from Filling The Jars shared her Canadian Cheese Soup. I can’t resist anything cheesy! And I’m thinking my family will love this!
Doesn’t this look delish?! Cecilia from My Thrift Store Addiction shows off her skills at baking a healthy dessert of baked pears with feta and walnuts. Unless you are like me and want to eat 6 of them. Wowza and worth the pin!
I think this looks so gourmet but Michelle at Thistle Key Lane made it look easy! Hop over and get the recipe for this fig, bacon and goat cheese crostini. Your people will love it!
I love me some chili and I bet this would even taste great with leftover turkey! Anyone else want to try it? Michelle from The Wooden Spoon Effect shares how she makes her white bean chicken chili with acorn squash and my oh my, you know it’s on my Pinterest recipe board.

My pleasure Michelle. 😉
So many yummy features! It was cool enough to wear a jacket or not here in So Cal… it was perfect of the kids! My friend, who also happens to be the paternal grandma to our grandkids, wheeled me around in a wheelchair as we walked with the kids. After a 7 hour shift at HL, and still mending from my sprains, I was very thankful! Thanks for hosting, dear friend!
