Spread the love

Howdy folks!  It’s time for Farmhouse Friday 361.  Before I get to the features, is anyone else staying inside as much as possible?  Even though I ordered groceries, I had to pick them up.  So just dragging them from the car to the kitchen had me looking like I was chewed up, spit out, and stepped on.  Then I had to go back out and hand water a few new bushes.  But, I’m keeping my chin up because like I said before, that means I’m one day closer to Autumn.  😉

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 361

The theme this week for the features is… Seeing Green!  Let’s get started.

We are well into August and we’ll be up in the high 90’s this week with lots of humidity. The only good point is every day gets us closer to September and cooler nights. I know your area is scorching right now. I guess we all just have to tough it out a bit longer. Loved the sunflower blog. Thanks for doing the link party each week.

I’m not sure which is worse, 90 and humid or dry and 105? I think 90 and humid. Stay cool Lynne!

Thanks for sharing my early fall dining room in your sunflower post, Cindy! I hear you about going outdoors. Hot AND hoards of mosquitos! I have to tell my hubby I’m going out, so if I don’t make it back in within a bit he knows to come looking for me!!! Have a great weekend!

    • August 16, 2024 / 10:36 am

Oh gosh Debra, that would be awful! I don’t envision a heat stroke or anything but I can see you running around frantically waving your arms while a swarm of mosquitos are trying to drain every ounce of blood like the little vampires they are! Yikes. Happy to support my friends in sharing magnificent ideas. Stay frosty!

Cindy, I heard on the weather this morning that we are expecting our hottest weekend to date, which means I will do my best to walk, water, and run any errands before 9:00. Thanks so much for featuring my DIY solar-powered fountain planter. Stay cool, my friend! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction

I saw that! This is the first time I’ve ever thought about going down south to the farmhouse in the summer. It’s supposed to be cooler there which is unimaginable really.
Good idea on getting things done early. Sounds like I’ll plan an indoor staycation for us. I’ve noticed the a/c units in the antique stores can’t keep up and it’s very uncomfortable to shop. Bleh.
Happy to feature your fountain friend. I love it!

Great party Cindy! Thanks so much for hosting us. We both have sunflowers on the brain, just posted as well. Great minds think alike. It’s finally cooling down here a tiny bit and I can actually enjoy our outdoor spaces. This summer was crazy hot but at least we don’t suffer from the humidity. Stay cool friend. XO- MaryJo

I’m just over here figuring out how to eat as many of my garden veggies in different ways as possible;) Love garden harvest season! Thanks for hosting, friend! Keep cool and think Fall;)

I would be useless as coming up with ideas for different ways to cook food. One day our family was critiquing a cafe and they asked if I ever thought of opening a restaurant. Before I could answer (heck no) they all burst out laughing. We spent the next 20 minutes coming up with a name for it. We settled on Cindy’s Same 5 Things Cafe. LOLOLOLOL. Sad but true.
