Howdy folks! It’s time for Farmhouse Friday 361. Before I get to the features, is anyone else staying inside as much as possible? Even though I ordered groceries, I had to pick them up. So just dragging them from the car to the kitchen had me looking like I was chewed up, spit out, and stepped on. Then I had to go back out and hand water a few new bushes. But, I’m keeping my chin up because like I said before, that means I’m one day closer to Autumn. 😉
If you’re like me and enjoy decorating 24/7, and want several ideas for transitioning to fall. I got you! Check out my latest post – 9 Decorating Ideas Using Sunflowers For The Perfect Transition to Fall!
9 Decorating Ideas Using Sunflowers For The Perfect Transition to Fall
I gathered ideas from friends along with a few of mine and put them all in one post. There are a couple of DIY’s in there too. Check it out.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 361
The theme this week for the features is… Seeing Green! Let’s get started.
First up is Rachel from The Antiqued Journey with her vintage mold wall pocket upcycle. I think she did a magnificent job at repurposing! Pop in to see how she did it. You can find molds at almost every antique store!
You might be surprised to see what Missy from Sonata Home Design did to create this fun tabletop green house. She makes it look easy. Plus, it’s adorable and customizable! Totally pin worthy!
Who doesn’t love the sound of water when you’re outside? Well this DIY solar fountain by Cecilia at My Thrift Store Addiction is perfect no matter what your style is. Pop over and check out how she made it!
Okay, seeing green might be a stretch on this one but I’m a cake eater so this looked scrumdiliumptious! To see this fantastic Strawberry Margarita cupcake recipe, visit Ann’s Entitled Life. Make extra because I bet you’ll have them begging for two.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 361 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We’d like to see linkups like: Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog so please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.
- Thank you friends. We can hardly wait to see what you’ve been up to!
Thank you for the party. Wishing you a beautiful weekend.

Aww, you too Steph. Thank you
We are well into August and we’ll be up in the high 90’s this week with lots of humidity. The only good point is every day gets us closer to September and cooler nights. I know your area is scorching right now. I guess we all just have to tough it out a bit longer. Loved the sunflower blog. Thanks for doing the link party each week.

I’m not sure which is worse, 90 and humid or dry and 105? I think 90 and humid. Stay cool Lynne!
It’s actually getting a little cooler in NJ – well at night time at least. I’m still in summer mode for a bit…Thanks for hosting and enjoy your weekend!

My pleasure Rachel. Happy decorating!
Thanks for sharing my early fall dining room in your sunflower post, Cindy! I hear you about going outdoors. Hot AND hoards of mosquitos! I have to tell my hubby I’m going out, so if I don’t make it back in within a bit he knows to come looking for me!!! Have a great weekend!

Oh gosh Debra, that would be awful! I don’t envision a heat stroke or anything but I can see you running around frantically waving your arms while a swarm of mosquitos are trying to drain every ounce of blood like the little vampires they are! Yikes. Happy to support my friends in sharing magnificent ideas. Stay frosty!
Cindy, I heard on the weather this morning that we are expecting our hottest weekend to date, which means I will do my best to walk, water, and run any errands before 9:00. Thanks so much for featuring my DIY solar-powered fountain planter. Stay cool, my friend! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction

I saw that! This is the first time I’ve ever thought about going down south to the farmhouse in the summer. It’s supposed to be cooler there which is unimaginable really.
Good idea on getting things done early. Sounds like I’ll plan an indoor staycation for us. I’ve noticed the a/c units in the antique stores can’t keep up and it’s very uncomfortable to shop. Bleh.
Happy to feature your fountain friend. I love it!
Great party Cindy! Thanks so much for hosting us. We both have sunflowers on the brain, just posted as well. Great minds think alike. It’s finally cooling down here a tiny bit and I can actually enjoy our outdoor spaces. This summer was crazy hot but at least we don’t suffer from the humidity. Stay cool friend. XO- MaryJo

I would be useless as coming up with ideas for different ways to cook food. One day our family was critiquing a cafe and they asked if I ever thought of opening a restaurant. Before I could answer (heck no) they all burst out laughing. We spent the next 20 minutes coming up with a name for it. We settled on Cindy’s Same 5 Things Cafe. LOLOLOLOL. Sad but true.
Thank you for hosting! Lovely party, as always! We are still HOT here! Ugh! Lord, anytime You want to make it cooler, we are ready!
