Farmhouse Friday 359

Spread the love

Happy Friday and welcome to Farmhouse Friday 359.  I’ve been seeing so many posts with fall decor that I almost thought we skipped August altogether.  My head says don’t do it but my heart (and sweaty pits) say do what you want.  Well, that means bring on the fall but hold off on the sweaters girlfriend.

What about you?  Are you team fall or team fall off a cliff, I love summer?

Last weekend I headed down to the farmhouse.  When I walked in I was extremely excited to see and smell the house because the mister had already cleaned everything for us.  And I mean everything!  He’s the best.

I hadn’t been there in 6 months so things were boring and sad because the seasonal decor had been put away.  So in my last post I asked everyone if they’d give advice on what to do about it.  There were some things I had never thought of and loved every idea.  If you’d like to chime in and help a sister out, click here or on the link under the photo above.

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 359!

Even though I’m anxiously waiting for fall apples and cranberries, it’s still summer, so the theme this week is summer peachy keen!  Let’s get to drooling, shall we?

Cindy, that “sweaty pits” part had me cracking up! Haha, too funny. I’m always torn when starting my fall crafts for my YouTube channel. I want to be able to give my viewers enough time to create fall crafts as we head into the season. I put my fall décor out a little later, though. I’m definitely a fall girl, though. Thank you for hosting this wonderful linkup. Wishing you a wonderful weekend. ♡

I forget about giving readers enough time to create (or in my case – gather) things for the season. Thanks for the reminder Steph. Happy Friday!

I think it’s way too early to start decorating for fall, but it’s a good time to start to thinking and planning for it. I just purchased some new fall items at Hobby Lobby since I know how fast they sell out! The Hobby Lobby rule is that if you see something you like, buy it before it disappears. ha ha.

That’s the same rule for our Costco. Seize the Day! Or you’ll be tempted to knock someone over and steal that fantastic seasonal bargain for yourself. I’ve been tempted but that’s usually around the time they put out real Christmas garlands. 😉 Thank you Amy. Have a great weekend.

It’s my pleasure to feature the yumminess and I think your photo should be a cookbook cover! Hope your weekend is better than your week. Thanks Michelle.

Definitely team FALL, although I’m not decorating quite yet… just some basic changes in décor. I love anything Peachy so these recipes look fabulous. I know it depends on where we live in this big country when we start bringing fall goodies out. Thanks so much for having us over, Cindy. Have a great weekend!

    • August 2, 2024 / 3:02 pm

I’m with you. I will wait a bit to bring out some fall decor but am making some basic changes now. That way I won’t feel overwhelmed when the time comes. Thanks Debra.

Oh my goodness, Michelle’s peach crostini looks so amazing, I wish I lived closer to friends who love to cook bc the older I get the less I want to! I am slowly adding fall bc I like to give readers time to make/ shop and be inspired before the season is actually here!

    • August 2, 2024 / 3:04 pm

I think because I don’t “make” things I tend to forget about inspiring people which is terrible. I’ll start a little early this year so I can hopefully inspire readers as well. Thank you Cindy. You always inspire me!

Thanks so much for hosting! Lots to do these days, for all of us. And fall is on the horizon! Hopefully, cooler temps will come soon, as well!

    • August 2, 2024 / 3:05 pm

Hip hip hooray! I tell the kids all the time, one hot day means one cooler day is closer. Have a great weekend Julie.

I am over the heat. Not ready for all out fall but looking forward to transitons with sunflowers, apples and golden hues. Anything to get out of this sweltering heat!!!!!

    • August 6, 2024 / 12:15 pm

As I get older I can tell I’m not as tolerant of the heat and it’s more of a struggle not to get grouchy over it. 😉 Love the idea of sunflowers, apples and golden hues! I’m starting to remove the blues this week. Thanks bunches Amber.

Oh yes, ma’am, I am definitely team fall this year. Anything to get rid of this drought we’re in. In 2023 we had over 10″ of rain in July (twice our avg) . This year in July 2024 – 1.7″, less than 1/3 our avg. Bring on the inspiration, please and thank you!

I’m raising both hands Rita! Yaaaass!
