Hello my beautiful friends! Yesterday was the first official day of summer but around here we’ve been acting like it’s been here a month. 🙂 By the way, did you know the year’s first (and longest) day changes each year? It could be from June 20th – 22nd. You can find some fun facts about Summer Solstice here and another here. Welcome to Farmhouse Friday 353!
If you missed the short tour of our family room, you can view it by clicking here. Since I like to keep our entire house cohesive, can you guess what accent color I used in the family room?
If you guessed green, you’d be correct. It’s been a few months since we painted the kitchen walls Privilege Green by Sherwin Williams but it still seems new and oh my golly, I still absolutely L.O.V.E it! If you like that color, make sure and test it on your walls all different times of the day. It doesn’t look the same from a computer or phone screen.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 353!
Now for the fun patriotic features from last week’s link up’s. Independence Day is almost here but you still have time to zhuzh up your space! Woohoo!
Emily from Hunny I’m Home DIY had a great idea for an easy and festive craft. I think we all have a Mason jar around the house. How cute would this be at your July 4th lunch?!
I have a thing for vintage bottles so when I saw Debra’s collection and easy accents, I clicked so fast. Hop over to see the full post at Common Ground. Hooray for the red, white and blue!
Missy at Sonata Home Design made the cutest reversible placemat! I’m all for dual purpose items and this one has a ton of character. It’s worth the pin!
You can get this easy printable for your patriotic table from Wendy at WM Design House. She has a total of 7 for us and they are all super fun. Don’t miss out!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 353 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We’d like to see linkups like: Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 11:59 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog so please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes the Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post is featured.
- Thank you friends. We can hardly wait to see what you’ve been up to!

Happy to do it! Stay cool and rested my friend.
Green is my favorite color and I love the shades you’ve used in your decor! Love it, Cindy! Thanks for clarifying about the summer solstice, too… I’ve always wondered as my brother was born on 6/21 and we always referred to it as his Summer Solstice birthday! Thanks, as always, for hosting us all.
We’re sharing #27 and #28 today. Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!

Thank you for linking up ladies. Happy summer!
Cindy, that green is beautiful! So far in this house I’ve stuck with white walls. It was just one less decision to have to make when I didn’t even have enough furniture in the house. But I do really like color, and green is a favorite of mine – makes me feel.like I’m in the garden! BTW, love that scalloped tray too.
Three cheers for the red, white and blue and summer solstice! Thanks for the party.

When I saw that tray (HomeGoods) I put it in the basket long before checking the price. Lucky for me it wasn’t that bad. 😉 I love having some green all over the house. The kids reminded me that I had painted the entry at our old house green too. I had forgotten that. Gotta love kids. They remember everything – the good, bad and ugly. Thanks bunches Rita.
Cindy, thank you for hosting this lovely linkup each week. The weather has been heating up, and we’re doing our best to stay cool. Wishing you a beautiful weekend. ♡

Years ago I cut off a bunch of pockets from some jeans so I’m excited to try and make some of the placemats. Fingers crossed they are almost as cute. I’m not a crafter! Thank you Melynda.
So much fun to see all the Patriotic inspiration! Thanks for hosting, Cindy:)
