What’s up friends?! Ready for Farmhouse Friday 305? And are you staying cool, safe and having some indoor good times? All the fun around here is definitely indoors. The heat index was 117 this week.
I learned a fun fact yesterday that I’m going to try. If you have horses and they are in extreme heat you can give them dark beer. I have never heard of such. The beer is supposed to keep them a little cooler by providing needed minerals, Niacin and B vitamins which helps them vasodilate (the widening of blood vessels, usually near the surface of skin, leading to increased blood flow with sweating). Too bad Diet Coke with Vanilla doesn’t work. That’s my kinda drink. Beer is yuck.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 305
Maximalism, Minimalism and me – Middlism. I know, that’s not a word.
I also learned a bit about myself this week or at least gave my style a name. If you missed the latest post, you can read it by clicking here. Now let’s look at our fabulous features this week from Farmhouse Friday 304!
Just look at these adorable mini tart pan coasters! Rachel from The Antiqued Journey is so clever. I have got to find some minis so I can do this too!
Speaking of mini’s… Lynne over at My Family Thyme has a great idea for summer decorating. Love this mini succulent shell planter. So fresh looking.
Now this is my kind of recipe! I love that Michelle from The Wooden Spoon Effect shared something easy peasy. I’ll be making these this weekend for sure. They look completely homemade!
This really caught my eye. Can you guess what Missy from Sonata Home Design used for the lampshade? Such a fun idea and so strikingly pretty. Pinning for later!

My pleasure Rachel. Thanks for always linking up. I appreciate it.
I always feel for the wildlife in extreme weather. I have squirrels and chipmunks lazing all over the back porch in the shade. No telling what kind of trouble you may have if all your donkeys start tipping back. haha. Thanks for having us over, Cindy. stay cool this weekend!

Yes! Grateful we have the Lord who cares for them. Luke 12:6 – Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
Thank you for linking up and I’ll let you know if our animals get drunk! LOL.
Thanks for hosting and sharing, friend!! Happy summer to you!!
I had no idea you could give horses beer, Cindy! I know you can’t leave them in the barn all the time but gosh 117 sounds so uncomfortable for them and you too. Hopefully, you guys will get some relief soon. It’s been super humid and rainy in Florida so I’ve been looking for popsicle ideas for Piper. She’s such a picky eater but I think she would love a sweet-ish treat! As always, I love the features you chose and it was so much fun to see you all dressed up for the wedding. That shade of pink looks amazing on you! Hugs, CoCo

Aww, thank you CoCo. Your sweet comment made my day. We give our pups frozen fruit as treats. Easily blended up and put in a fun paw shaped mold. Maybe Piper will like those? One dog will eat anything, the other is picky too. We don’t dare put anything with peanut butter in front of his nose. He’ll swat it across the room! LOL.
Thanks for another fun party Cindy. I love all the features. That’s an interesting fact about horses since I would be apprehensive to give them any alcohol. You learn something new every day! Have a wonderful weekend. XO- MaryJo

It sounds off but it’s true. I wouldn’t give them more than two though and that’s for an average 1K pound size horse. Thanks for linking up!
Thank you so much for hosting the party.
Have a great weekend,
Kippi
Wow, that’s some serious heat you’re feeling! Thanks for hosting the party. Enjoy your weekend.

I am in a constant state of grouchiness during the summer and I only handle it by staying inside. And taking 3 showers a day. ๐ Thank you Debbie.
Thanks for the party. Sorry you’re experiencing such extreme heat.
