Howdy Folks and happy Memorial Day weekend too! We are celebrating in style today with Farmhouse Friday 301. It’s going to be an explosion of red, white and blue, minus the fireworks.
Before we get to that, it’s important to me to tell you that if you have a loved one who lost their life in serving us, please know their sacrifice is not lost on me. I am so grateful and even though I don’t know what they or you went through during that sacrifice and loss, I appreciate it more than I can show. I have a flag shaped plaque on my porch that says we are free because of the brave. Yes, absolutely, 100%. I also have many flags all around our home and in our yard. Even still, that will never be enough. Big hugs to you.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 301!
How to style a cubby shelf for the perfect garden inspired vignette!
If you missed the Pinterest Challenge earlier this week, you’ll want to hop over and see the amazing table and shelf garden inspiration we have for you. Click here for smiles galore!
Now for the explosion of patriotic ideas from Farmhouse Friday 300.
My sweet Dallas, TX friend Carol from Bluesky at Home share a DIY craft you still have time to make. Plus, they’ll still work on July 4th and Labor Day! Pop over and check them out.
I can’t get enough flags so when Julie from My Wee Abode shared her easy peasy mini flag idea, I raised both hands. Who knows, with those little pointy ends on the wood pieces, the day could get interesting. Or is that just at my house? LOL!
Here’s the fireworks! Thank you Ann from Ann’s Entitled Life for sharing your Firework Blondies recipe and giving me a reason to bake – as if. These will be a hit at any patriotic party!
This adorable basket will work all summer long. And Heidi from Eleanor Rose Home shows you the steps to be the envy of your neighbors. Love that color of blue ribbon!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 301 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We just want to see linkups that would fit in with the farmhouse lifestyle which include: Home DIY and Décor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 12 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog. Please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes our Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.

It is a delight to feature such fun things each week. So glad you link up. Thanks and happy Memorial Day!
Love these features, Cindy! I pinned so many of them. They’re great for Memorial Day and to save for the 4th of July too. I swear both holidays creep up on me every year! Thanks so much for putting this all together. As you know I grew up in a military family and while Memorial Day is a great day for BBQs and beach time it is a very difficult day for Gold Star Families. Sending you lots of hugs and thanks for lifting up fellow service families in your prayers, CoCo

Cindy, you are hilariously witty. Julie’s flags – can you say jarts (or even darts!)? Imagine someone saying something you don’t like and you toss a flag at them at the bbq? And Ann’s blondies? Let’s just order in, shall we? Once thing’s that’s not funny is what Memorial Day commemorates. Let’s all hope we can be the kind of men and women our troops signed up to defend! Thank you for the party, and enjoy the rest of your weekend. I have a break from the garden with the gift of rain today. It is most welcome!

Yeeees – Jarts! LOL! Hope you get some rain. I’m still hoping one day I wake up and someone will have cleaned out our beds and mulched even though if that were to actually happen it would be a disgruntled neighbor sick of looking at it. :0 Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day and the break in gardening. Thanks bunches Rita!
Sorry I’m late to the party this week!! Made it just in time! So many fun blogs to read through this week. Happy Memorial Day, Cindy!
