Howdy folks! Has your week flown by like mine? I can’t seem to catch up or get to the fun things. The fun things keep getting moved to the back of the line. Except this. It’s time for Farmhouse Friday 287 and I actually enjoy looking at the links from so many creatives. I typically get several ideas for my own home and some tips for life in general. Organization has been a big one lately. Maybe I’m diseased with the spring cleaning bug?
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 287
Last Saturday, the Lifestyle of Love hop posted and we shared how we decorate and use candles. You might think candles can’t be that interesting. But let me tell you, I saw some amazing ideas! See the designs by clicking here.
How I style candles to be interesting and an expression of me!
Y’all, I have some news! I am campaigning right now to be on City Council! I’m excited and nervous at the same time. I have an opponent which makes things way more difficult but I’m up for the challenge. Campaigning got me thinking about spring because I’ll start knocking on doors introducing myself, which got me to thinking about our yard.
That brought me to realize I only have a short time to make it look the opposite of how it looks now – sad, dead, dirty and depressing. And that took my mind to the farmhouse and porch. I don’t think we’ll have time to get down there until after the election and possibly after our daughters wedding.
How to add vintage charm for a stupendous spring porch
Anyway, if you too are dreaming of porches and decorating them with vintage pieces, click here for that inspiration. It put a smile on my face.
Wow, that was a lot. Let’s get to this weeks fabulous features from Farmhouse Friday 286!
Wendy from WM Design House shared her box spring upcycle. You know I have a soft spot for those. Click the link and see why. So cute and perfect for spring!
Have you ever thought to make a charcuterie board on a stick? I had not but think it’s smart and much more sanitary! You’ll want to see Emily’s post from Hunny I’m Home and pin it for your next party!
Remember when I said I get ideas for life in general? Here’s a fantastic example. CoCo from The Crowned Goat shared how she created a dinner decision jar. It dispenses good news! Hop on over to see what I mean.
Can you guess what Meredith from Arts & Classy was doing on her deck? I bet you can’t. Stop by and see all the magic that was created. Very sweet.
Okie doke. Now it’s your turn to share with us what you’ve been doing. Link up and tell your friends!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 287 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We just want to see linkups that would fit in with the farmhouse lifestyle which include: Home DIY and Decor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 12 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog. Please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes our Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.
So many fresh ideas for spring! And I think Coco’s dinner suggestion idea is genius! I hate having to plan dinner all the time! Have a great weekend!

Girl, I hate it too. If I ever get rich, the first thing I’d do is hire a cook! Thanks for the visit Nicolle.
