Howdy Friends and Happy FriYay! It’s time for Farmhouse Friday 279. Did you think last week’s party was amazing? It’s hard to believe so many of you love sharing your ideas on here. It’s humbling and greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Last weekend the Mister and I joined some of our Home Group friends in Petit Jean, Arkansas and my-oh-my was it beautiful! So in order that I don’t leave a bunch of exclamation points at the end of my sentences, here are a few of the photo’s I took at our last sunset instead. I’ll let you ooh and ahh all on your own!
Sunset at Petit Jean State Park. Can you even?! Oooh!
Talk about America the Beautiful and it’s “purple mountains majesty”! Aaah!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 279!
Okay, now let’s see what features I chose from Farmhouse Friday 278 last week.
I’ve purchased many an antique tin in my day and they can get expensive. Well now that Lee Ann from Creative Moments shared how to make our own faux tin tiles, think of the money we’ll save. Great idea!
Want to make your own handmade Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride Christmas Sign? Check out this post from Marie at Interior Frugalista! So cute and just in time for Christmas!
Rachel at The Ponds Farmhouse shares how she made these fantastic cedar and orange topiaries. They were featured in Country Sampler Farmhouse Style Magazine too! I know she’s just as excited to be featured here as well. LOL! So creative and perfect for Thanksgiving AND Christmas!
Debra at Common Ground shares her excellent tips for transitioning from Thanksgiving to Christmas. She takes the guess work out of the question “when do I decorate for Christmas”. It’s a must read!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 279 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We just want to see linkups that would fit in with the farmhouse lifestyle which include: Home DIY and Decor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 12 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog. Please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes our Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.

Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!!! What a blessing to witness such a beautiful sunset! One of my favorite moments during our annual trips to Mexico is getting up early with coffee in hand and watching the gorgeous sunrise between the coastal mountains. A big thank you, Cindy, for featuring my sleigh ride sign. Wishing you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving! xo

They were all so pretty. It’s fun to go somewhere else and experience the everyday but girl, it was colder than it looks! In the 20’s at night and mid 40’s during the day. I’m not used to that! Grateful for the sunshine.
Cindy, You are so kind. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have the best Thanksgiving.
