Happy FriYay! Are you ready for Farmhouse Friday 274? The links from last week’s party were so good! I clicked and pinned so many. Maybe it’s the changing season with the crisp air that get our creative minds moving?!
The Mister and I will be here at the farmhouse all month and I’m enjoying it tremendously. It’s still a little warm (90 degrees) in the afternoons but the mornings and evenings are nice and cool. Plus, I hear there’s a cool front moving through. Yes, please! We are heading to the Round Top Antique Fair this weekend. Another happy place!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 274!
I didn’t get around to writing another post this week but with thoughts of Autumn and Thanksgiving, here’s one of my favorite posts to make this Thanksgiving memorable. Not because you burned the turkey but with activities!
How To Make Good Memories This Thanksgiving
Now let’s take a look at this week’s features. So many fabulous links!
Cindy from Cloches and Lavender, shared a great idea – How to clean and preserve acorns! I think acorns are so cute and you can do so many crafts with them. Definitely pinning for later!
Our neighbor introduced us to roasting pumpkin seeds a few years ago but before then I’d never heard of it. This recipe by Cook Clean Then Repeat sounds amazing! Let’s put those jack-o-lantern guts to good use!
It’s time to create cuteness on our porches and patios! Jen at Midwest Life and Style shares a great tutorial on how to make these fabulous pumpkin topiaries. Her neighbors must love looking at her porch! I sure would.
Y’all! I’m going to look like the greatest baker in America with this Cinnamon Bread Star from Abeille Flower Company. Angie too has been intimidated to make this but totally rocked it this time! I can hardly wait!
Now it’s your turn. Share with us what you’ve been doing! We’d love it!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 274 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We just want to see linkups that would fit in with the farmhouse lifestyle which include: Home DIY and Decor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 12 PM, CST on Monday.
- We aren’t requiring a link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog. Please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes our Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.
Thanks for hosting and thank you so much for the feature! Don’t forget, SAVE those acorns!

I already have a pile of acorns that will be so cute in our fall decor. Thank YOU Cindy for linking up. You are appreciated!
Cindy, thank you for the fun ideas. I have a Halloween table that I think my daughter is about to rob for her Halloween party decor, lol. Have a great weekend. This weekend is Bridge Day in West Virginia, the one day where people can literally jump off the 900′ expansion bridge in New River Gorge National Park. Thankfully, the Mountaineers beat the Waco Bears last night so everyone here is pretty well safe from the inclination. ๐

LOL, “safe from inclination”! I have a fear of heights so I don’t understand the fascination for jumping from a bridge but I’d love to watch! Way down at the bottom of course. Enjoy your weekend.
That bread is gorgeous! Thank you for hosting!

I know, right?! Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks Jennifer
We used to roast pumpkin seeds when my girls were little and when I taught First Grade. We cut it open, estimate how many seeds we thought there would be, then I would give each table a scoop of the inside. They had to separate the seeds from the pulp and count the seeds. The we added it up and checked to see how close we were to our estimate. Then we roasted them and ate them! So much fun!

I think you’ll never be able to shake the teacher in you (which is a great thing). ๐ Sounds like a lot of fun – all except separating the seeds from the mush. Happy Fall!
Happy Friday, Cindy!!! It’s SNOWING here in MN this morning if you can believe it. I’ll try and send some of this cooler weather your way…I wasn’t quite ready for this yet…my poor ferns don’t know what to do! Happy weekend!
Author
Oh my soul – that is crazy! Not sure I’d be ready for that either. But yes please, send that cooler weather! Many thanks Rachel
