Spread the love

Happy FriYay Friends!  What a week.  Life is busy and I need a vacation.  I’m thinking Alaska or Greenland.  How about you?  Holding up?  Need prayers?  Let me know!  And since summer isn’t over yet, in this week’s Farmhouse Friday 267, I say we eat and drink our way to heaven or fall, whichever comes first.  Who’s with me?!

FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 267!

If you missed last weeks posts (posts -plural. Shocking, I know) I hope you check them out.  The first one is a Lifestyle of Love hop I had with a few of my sweet friends.  We shared ways we use farm animals in our decor.  Lots of fun ideas.

The next post was an inspiration from a friend who needed some help filling her vintage bowls around the house.  I gave her several things to ponder. I think she’ll need more bowls.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yep, it’s still hot here and so I stop whining about it and to help embrace it, check out this week’s fabulous features from Farmhouse Friday 266.  I wasn’t kidding when I said we should eat and drink our way to heaven.

Crostini on a while place with spinach on sideLiz at The Savory Cipolla is making my mouth water with these Pesto Crostini’s!  The color alone should make you want to devour it.  Or at least try it!  So yummy!

Piece of Baklaca on a plate with checked napkinI’ve always wondered what Baklava was and how it tasted.  I’m looking forward to trying this classic recipe with honey syrup from Sarah at Must Have Mom.  Just might have the ladies over too while I’m at it.

I couldn’t let our eat and drink dreaming go without sharing this fun idea.

I woke up to the 70’s today! I flung open the door and smiled so big. Then took a breath in and sucked up the humidity, coughed then had to shut it. Grateful for the coolness though. Hope your weekend is awesome!

Yes, aren’t they so fun?! I think they’d be so pretty at a tea party or on a summer tray with lemonade. Thanks for visiting Elizabeth.

Thanks for the morning chuckle, you crack me up! I don’t know how you guys in the melting southern heat get your houses clean. We are in another heat wave here in the great white north and I wake up with the intention of vacuuming until the sweat beads start dripping and think, nope, not today. ๐Ÿฅต

    • August 19, 2022 / 10:20 am

LOL! If I stopped cleaning when the sweat beads started up, I’d maybe get the bed made. I have to tell Alexa to play 80’s music at volume 5 and wear a wet cloth on my head. It’s quite the scene. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for linking up Marie!

These recipes all look so delicious, Cindy, and the perfect way to round out the summer season too. I know summer is not technically over until late September but we always use back to school and Labor Day as our unofficial start so bring on the PSL and all the yummy breads ๐Ÿ™Œ Big hugs and thanks for hosting, CoCo

If we waited until the official date to start fall around here or until it felt like fall, I think we’d end up going from summer to winter in a week. No bueno.

It’s really good – there probably won’t be any left to share by the time the ladies arrive.
