Hello and happy Friday! What are you going to do this weekend? We are having an engagement party for our daughter and future SIL. They were poor college students so they went on a lot of picnics and when Michael popped the question they had a picnic so it only seems fitting to throw a picnic themed engagement party – inside of course. Anyway, I think our weekend is going to be so fun!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 263!
Addison and Michael
Surprise! I did a coastal post earlier. You may be thinking I’m not a coastal decorator but there’s always a first time for everything, right? LOL! You can see all the ideas and vignettes by clicking here. It’s a blog hop hosted by Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home so it’s a must see if I do say so myself.
How to Achieve a Fun Coastal Look Without Using Shells!
We’re heading outside for these fabulous features from Farmhouse Friday 262. Isn’t it nice to know some people are able to enjoy the outdoors?! Still triple digit degrees here. 108 as I’m typing this out. Bleh.
Karin from Karins Kottage shares her fantastic ideas for a dinner party by the lake. You’ll want to see the photos. Looks so beautiful and fun!
Nicolle from Our Tiny Nest brought up some great summer memories with her Root Beer Float bar! Doesn’t this make you want to make one?! So yummy.
I bet you’ve never thought of this before. Laura from Everyday Edits shows how to make eco-friendly placemats. Can you tell what that is?!
I don’t care how hot it is outside, this would make me want to be outside! Love the front porch snack and beverage bar from Penny at Penny’s Vintage Home.
Now it’s your turn to show us what you’ve been doing this week. We can hardly wait!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY 263 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We just want to see linkups that would fit in with the farmhouse lifestyle which include: Home DIY and Decor ~ Gardening ~ Crafts and Sewing ~ Recipes ~ Homesteading.
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, CST on Friday and ends at 12 PM, CST on Monday.
- You aren’t required to link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog. Please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes our Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.
Thank you for hosting the party. Have a great weekend.
Hey Cindy! Thanks for another fun party! Super good features this week! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

I thought so too. Thank you Rachel!
What a gorgeous photo of your daughter and future sil! I love that you’ll have a picnic party, even if you have to do it inside. I can’t even imagine those sustained triple digit temps, Cindy. we had just one week of high 90s with real feel in triples, but our summer has mostly been quite tolerable, especially early mornings and evenings. I’ve spent a lot of time in my new cottage garden, and really having fun (sharing). Love the root beer float idea, and Karin’s ideas too. Now I’m off to visit, starting with the coastal ideas. Thanks for the party, and have a fun weekend with your family!

Well it’s stifling for sure. If there is a breeze, it’s like standing in front of the hair dryer. Puttin’ on extra D.O. for the B.O. these days! Thanks Julie.
thanks for hosting, Cindy. The engagement party looks like so much fun. What a cute couple!! Have a great weekend!

Thank you Debra. Wish you could meet them. Addi cracks me up and Michael is very sweet to her. She’s spoiled rotten. Guess that’s how it should be though. I know I am and love it. 😉

Okay, you’ll need to tell me what “hot” is in Canada. Think of us when you’re lounging around in total bliss.
