Spread the love

Hey hey hey!  I know you know that I’m obsessed with the weather because I talk about it quite frequently.  Well this week I decided instead of just looking at my app, I’d actually watch the news on TV.  I haven’t watched regular TV in years!  Is that crazy?  I realized long ago that it was depressing, full of terrible crimes, things I couldn’t control and it turned me into a person I didn’t want to be.  So, I stream my entertainment.  Anyway, I’m only going to mention this week was a bad hair week and leave it at that.  Let’s get to Farmhouse Friday 253 instead.

This week while working on my Pinterest Board, I came across this board and shared a few of my favorite al fresco dining ideas all in an attempt to recreate a space that seems like a staycation or one that’s fit for a magazine.  Hence another reason I am obsessed with the weather.  It’s not for the tornado warnings or the baseball size hail we get, it’s so I can dine outside before we begin having to swat the flies with our corn-on-the-cob.

Let’s check out the fabulous gardening features from Farmhouse Friday 252!

gardening in bags of soilHave you ever heard of such?  This is a great idea.  You need to see how and why Ann at Ann’s Entitled Life grows her vegetables!  I find this very interesting!

In theory I love an outside dining setting, but we too have mosquitos and all variety of nighttime pests that make it not so much fun. Let’s enjoy the look. Do they have bugs in France and Italy? Thanks for hosting the party each week. It’s been horribly hot here… or storm threats. oh well!

    • May 13, 2022 / 11:11 am

Hadn’t thought about France or Italy but I doubt it would be cool enough for me. I was thinking Alaska might be the only place able to give me the al fresco feels. It’s about to become unbearable outside. Bleh. Stay cool Debra!

Oh, I love that about corn on the cob, it makes a great fly swatter haha! Thanks so much for featuring my pallet planter, Cindy! Have a great (flyless) weekend!

My pleasure Jayne! This weekend we’ll be in Oklahoma at our youngest daughters college graduation. WOO HOO! My hubs says he’s excited to get the last one off the family payroll. Yes, I’m the forever optimist and he’s always the realist. I guess he keeps my head out of the clouds. LOL.

I’m obsessed with the weather lately too and keep asking Mother Nature where the heck is the heat? Oh, what I’d do to jump into that dreamy al fresco dining photo. Happy Friday, Cindy, and have a good weekend!

LOL Marie, that question would never cross my lips! Thanks for linking up and maybe one day you and I will come across an orchard. We’ll know exactly what to do with it, won’t we?! Happy Friday friend.

I had to laugh at your “bad hair week” comment. I can relate. Here in Neb we skipped spring and went straight to summer again. 90+ degrees and a zillion percent humidity!

    Stay cool, friend!

    • May 15, 2022 / 10:31 am

Yikes. Don’t be surprised if in the next couple of weeks I say I’m staying inside for the next 4 months only coming out for a grocery run. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope you have a great week Jen!

Don’t count on Alaska being free of mosquitos, and no-see’ums…it was awful several times in the past when we vacationed there. I limit my nightly news too, and sometimes skip it altogether as I agree with you, it is very depressing and mostly, nothing I can control.
Cheers and I hope your weather improves……here on the coast below Santa Barbara it is finally warming up withy 84 degrees predicted for tomorrow, I know, bragging not appreciated.

    • May 15, 2022 / 10:35 am

I’m so jealous Joan! Sounds like the perfect week. And you can brag all you want around here! Thanks for the visit. ๐Ÿ™‚

That makes me smile Meagan. Glad you’re here too. Thanks so much and I hope your week is fabulous.

Yesterday at Addi’s graduation in OK, it was nice and cool inside. Like they put the a/c down to 70 nice! Guess they didn’t want a bunch of grouchy ladies storming the doors when the ceremony was over. I’d be the one yelling – push and shove your way to the nearest exit people! Kidding. Or am I? Thanks for linking up Michelle. And I haven’t forgotten about our lunch date. I’m still waiting for a free couple of hours! :/

So many fun features this week! – the one Jayne came up with is so adorable! Thanks for hosting the party Cindy ๐Ÿ™‚
