Howdy Folks! It’s time for Farmhouse Friday #234 but as I write this post, my heart hurts for so many people and what they are going through this season. Some are ill, some have lost their homes, some have lost loved ones, some are devastated by hate. Nothing new but awful just the same. As we sit in our homes and read this on our phone or computer, remember how blessed we are. Look around at your neighbors and ask how you can show kindness, mercy and grace. Lift someone’s spirits with an encouraging word. Put others before yourself. Serve someone, somehow and pray.
Sorry if that was out of the norm but this world has been on my heart lately. But if I haven’t scared you off, let’s look at the beautiful features we have this week. You will be amazed at the creativity here and I bet more than one will put a smile on your face. I’m smiling just thinking about them again! 🙂
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY #234
If you missed last weeks Farmhouse Friday and want to see more fabulousness, click here. Okay, now onto
Christine at DIY Dreamer shares a great tutorial on how to make these adorable lightbulb ornaments. I love these and think they would make such a cute Christmas gift!
Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home always makes me grin with her beautiful decor. You don’t want to miss her magazine worthy Vintage Christmas tour. It will put you in the Christmas spirit for sure!
Speaking of vintage! Julie from My Wee Abode (isn’t that a cute blog name) shares how to create your own mercury ornament garland. I love how it turned out and it’s definitely worth pinning!
Doesn’t this make you immediately take a breath and relax? It did me! You’ll want to check out CoCo’s tour over at The Crowned Goat. So many beautiful ideas!
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY #234 PARTY GUIDELINES:
- Your style does not have to be farmhouse nor do you have to live in a farmhouse to link up. We just want to see linkups that would fit in with the farmhouse lifestyle which include:
- Home DIY and Decor
- Gardening
- Crafts
- Recipes
- Homesteading
- It doesn’t matter how old your post is but please link your posts here only once.
- The party runs from 6 AM, PST/8 AM, CST on Friday and ends at noon, PST/2 PM, CST on Monday.
- You aren’t required to link back to this party, but if you do, thanks! That’s mighty nice of you.
- A Link Party is a great way to grow your blog. Please don’t post and run. Show some love by visiting and pinning (from the original post) what you find interesting.
- By linking up, you get a chance to be featured here at next week’s party and across our social media accounts which includes our Farmhouse Friday board on Pinterest!
- When you link to this party, you permit us to share your posts and pictures via social media and as features, roundups, etc. with a link back to your post or a link back to this party on the week your post was featured.
- We have seen many links that do not follow the guidelines. We appreciate you wanting to join but since this is about sharing a farmhouse lifestyle, we will be deleting those that do not fit. For any confusion, see bullet point number one.
Thank you so much for hosting the party each week.
I am glad you started your post the way you did. My family has been through it lately and I know many others out there are suffering through this holiday for a myriad of reasons. Thanks for your kind words and food for thought.
Merry Christmas,
Melissa | Little Frugal Homestead

I’m sorry to hear that Melissa. I’ll be praying for you and your family specifically. Hope things get better soon. Big hug.
Good evening,
I hope that you never feel as if you cannot express what is on your heart. These are terrible times for so many people and my heart breaks for them. I would be very sad to know that someone reading your lovely blog would not allow you to express empathy and sympathy for those suffering.
Thank you for hosting your lovely party. Merry Christmas!

Aww, thank you Elizabeth. You made my week. I typically lose subscribers when I mention prayer, the Lord, my relationship with him, anything personal really. But I’m okay with it now. It used to hurt my heart but I can’t please everyone nor shut my mouth when I’m impressed to say something. Thanks again for your encouragement. Merry Christmas.
Cindy,
Love all your shares and your special message at the beginning! So well said. I’m hope you and your family have the best Christmas possible! Bless you for all you do.

Thank you Rachel. Hope you have a blessed Christmas season.
Thank you so much for featuring our holiday home tour, Cindy, I appreciate you so much! It’s definitely hard to see so many people hurting. Especially, during the holidays. I feel like we’ve all been through so much since the pandemic began in 2020 and I know I’m not the only one ready to turn the page on another wild year. Adding my prayers to yours this season and every day, CoCo
