Howdy Friends and welcome to Farmhouse Friday #214! How was your week? You know I’m going to say mine was super busy so instead of complaining about it, I have a question. Has anyone noticed how loud the Cicada’s are outside? They are louder than Grandpa’s Sunday tie around here! Sometimes late at night it’s even spooky. Anyway, let’s get to what’s been happening on the blog where it’s pleasant and peaceful.
FARMHOUSE FRIDAY #214
An Entryway Refresh to Keep Me Smiling All Summer Long
This week I refreshed the entryway! It’s quite a quirky space to say the least so I turned it into something worth looking at and shared some ideas to think about when you’re doing the same. Check it out here!
Debra from Common Ground always creates the prettiest most carefree looking arrangements. Check out how she made this Mid-Summer Floral Basket. What a wonderful greeting!
Melissa from Little Frugal Homestead shows us how to make Corn Cob Jelly! Am I the only one that’s never heard of this? It looks quite yummy. Who knew?!
CoCo from The Crowned Goat shows off her Guest Bedroom Makeover! Wouldn’t you just love sleeping in there?! Let me know when you’re taking reservations CoCo!
Rachel from The Ponds Farmhouse has a DIY Address Sign. Look at that fabulousness! It’s bigger than life! Are you sure you don’t live in Texas where things are bigger?!

The only loud sound going on around here at night is hubby’s snoring and the annoying sound of loud car mufflers off in the distance. Trade ya!

LOL Marie! Sounds like I’ve got it better than I thought. 😉
Believe it or not, the cicadas have totally bypassed WV! My sister in OH sent me a graphic map and, sure enough, they are all around us in the OH, KY, VA and beyond, but totally absent from us!
Have a great weekend, Cindy!

Wow, that sounds nice. Although with what Marie from Interior Frugalista commented, I’m better off than I thought. LOL!
Hey Cindy, yes they’re loud here. So loud you can hear them even over the tv in the evening. saying a lot because the tv is always loud cause my husband can’t hear anything, haha. thanks so much for sharing my mid-summer door basket. Have a great weekend!

LOL Debra! I’m always saying turn the TV down. He just says what – can’t hear you the TV’s too loud. Ugh – Men and their dumb jokes. Happy to show off your basket decor though! It’s adorable. Hope you have a great weekend.
Girl between the cicadas and the frogs I may need a vacation just to get some sleep! It’s crazy! Add in the recent increase in temps and we’ve got ourselves a trifecta! Lol… have a wonderful weekend.

Thankfully, we only here the millions (so it seems) of frogs at the farmhouse and not here in the city. Better get you some ear plugs! Or at least a large fan like I have! 😉
LOL We don’t have Cicada’s, just crickets. They are loud but but I like the sound!
Author
Oh heavens, I’m not sure could be any better. I remember several times one little cricket would keep me awake for hours! No thanks. Hope you have a nice weekend.
I so love these posts. It’s a signal that Friday is here and the weekend has begun! And that it’s time to party. Love the posts and the comments. Doesn’t anybody want to talk about crickets? LOL have a good week, Cindy.

Rachelle said she has crickets and no thanks to those as well. I don’t know how people sleep camping in the wilderness with so many noises and nothing to blog it out?!
Pleasant and peaceful is always a very good thing! I love it here at your place …
;-}

Cindy,
You are so sweet to always support my posts. Thanks for sharing the DIY Address Sign.

My pleasure! And girl, I love that sign! I’m trying to figure out where I could squeeze one in around here.
Thanks again for hosting this lovely party every week! I know how much time and effort goes into doing so and it is greatly appreciated!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!

We have very creative people around here, don’t we?! Glad you could stop by.
Thanks so much for featuring my Old Fashioned Corn Cob Jelly! It is unique and tasty!
We have had so much rain here that the frogs are so very loud at night. We sleep with an air purifier that makes a nice white sound to drown out the symphony outside!
I so love the address sign, I’m just not that crafty!

I have to sleep with a loud(ish) fan. I can’t stand the complete silence nor when it’s loud outside. And certainly not with a pea under my mattress. 😉 Thanks for linking up Melissa. Have a great weekend!
Thank you so much for featuring my guest bedroom makeover, Cindy, you guys are so sweet! I really appreciate it. The entire project was a huge labor of love and I’m grateful for the space every single day. Hope your week is filled with all good things! Hugs and thank yous, CoCo
