Are you having a wonderful summer so far? I foresee the next 15 weeks wishing I lived in Alaska. I’m not sure if it’s my age or this particular summer but the humidity has already gotten on my last nerve. Anyone living way up north want a guest for a couple of months? I pack light, am very neat and tidy, low maintenance and will work for food. Just let me know and I’m there! Not kidding. LOL. But instead of me getting even grouchier discussing that further, let me show you what Michelle and I did this week before I show you the fun-filled patriotic features for Farmhouse Friday #210.
Farmhouse Friday #210!
Michelle and I both participated in the Pinterest Challenge. If you don’t know what that is – the group takes one inspiration photo found on Pinterest and replicates the look but in a design style that works for us.

It’s a fantastic group of bloggers with different niche’s and the ideas are endless. We’ve been doing this for 2-1/2 years and none of the looks are the same. It’s so fun! If you missed it be sure and check them out by clicking the links under our photos.

Denise at My Home of All Seasons shared her Easy Patriotic Decor Ideas. Isn’t that can so cute?! See her fun post for several more ideas.
You’ll also want to see Debra’s Garden Room decked out in its vintage patriotic finest. There are so many adorable details!
Not everyone that parties here is from America. Marie from Interior Frugalista lives in Canada and celebrates Canada Day. This can be adapted for July 4th too!
Paula at Sweet Pea has a ton of red, white and blue ideas for us too. I want a Coca-Cola crate and you won’t believe where she got the poster!

Of course. We love our Canada friends too Marie. Actually, I think most of us have dreamed of living there at least once or twice. I’d love to find one of those Hallmark movie towns and live. Every single movie shot there shows the most stunning places!
Cindy,
Thanks so much for hosting this charming party each and every week!! I so appreciate all the time and effort that does into it!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
Hugs,

My pleasure Debbie. Grateful for you visits!
Hi Cindy, thanks so much for sharing my Garden Room for the 4th! Hope you have a great weekend and try to stay cool!

All I want to do is stay inside or driving around in the car. Not even the freezer section at the grocery store is cool enough for me. :/ Glad to feature your garden room Debra – it’s perfectly patriotic!
I know what you mean about the humidity! Thanks for hosting the inspiration this week.

I’ve heard people from Florida say you get used to it. I’ve lived in Texas my entire life (more than a half century) and I’m still not used to it. Thanks for the visit today and linking up Sandra.
Thank you so much for featuring my patriotic mantel this week. Have a great weekend!

Our pleasure Paula. It was quite pretty!

Thanks. We hostesses with the mostesses need to stick together! 😉
Cindy, great features. On one of my trips to the grocery this past week I picked up those Marie Callender key lime pies (okay, and the coconut too). Man, they’re good! Picky Mr. P. loved it too! Thanks for the tip (and the party!).
Author
LOL Rita, glad you and Mr. P liked them. You’ll have to tell me how the coconut tastes!
I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with yucky heat and humidity, Cindy! It drains the energy from me, too:( You could come up to MN and jump in a lake! Thanks always for hosting;)
Author
Although that sounds tempting, around here when you tell someone to jump in the lake, you are telling them (me), in a rude way, to go away and stop annoying you. I’m sure that’s NOT what you are saying. LOL. Thanks for linking up!
Hi, Cindy,
Yes, staying inside to stay cool. I made the mistake of walking barefooted on my gravel driveway to get a package UPS left out near the road. The bottoms of my feet were super hot and burning by the time I made it back to a shaded area on the gravel. If you are really looking for an old Coke box, I have a couple in my shop.
I have started a bathroom remodel and enjoyed reading Marie’s bathroom reno. She is so right about ordering early. The shower faucet system I wanted is backordered for several weeks, and one tile I was considering is backordered for months.
Have lots of iced tea under a ceiling fan in the house to stay cool.

Oh wow Judith, you need to keep flip flops by the door like I do. My daughter is still crazy enough to go for walks with the dog. She puts booties on his feet so they don’t burn. I’ve never tried to cook an egg on the sidewalk but I bet come August (maybe July), we could do it. Can you imagine what it’s going to be like in a few weeks? Ugh. Thanks for info on the Coke box. I’m going antiquing this weekend and if I don’t find one, I’ll let you know.
Hope your remodel comes together sooner than planned. And I look forward to seeing it. I still remember the beautiful transformation in your laundry room! Stay cool.
So much inspiration!
