Fall Fun at Pumpkin Nights!

Spider carved pumpkin
Spread the love

Howdy and Happy Fall!  I’m loving the temps around here but this week is gloomy and rainy – bleh.  But this weekend was beautiful!  The Mister and I spent Saturday with long time besties and high school friends.  After dinner we went to Pumpkin Nights.  I’d never heard of it before but am so glad we went.  It goes to different cities around the US each year so check out the website and if it’s anywhere near you, go!  I highly recommend it.  Here’s all about our fall fun at Pumpkin Nights!

PUMPKIN NIGHTS!

Entrance to Pumpkin Nights

We were told there were over 3000 hand carved pumpkins to see throughout our walking tour.  This is the main entrance.  I was trying to find two pumpkins alike but couldn’t.  Some of them are amazingly detailed.  I could tell just from these above it was going to be funtastic!

Dragon made of pumpkins at Pumpkin Nights

Right after the pond of pumpkin turtles and dozens of pumpkin Chinese lanterns was this ginormous dragon!  It was incredible.  I couldn’t even count the amount of pumpkins needed for his long body.  I think he was the largest of the creatures there.

Harry Potter themed carved pumpkin collage

Are you a fan of Harry Potter?  There was an entire section just for that.

Halloween faces on pumpkins

What about Frankenstein or Dracula?  Just look at the detail?  I couldn’t carve a pumpkin like this if my life depended on it.

Under the Sea pumpkin Nights

I loved the Under the Sea section.  It had pumpkin jelly fish and crabs and was filled with bubbles.  I felt like I was walking around in an aquarium!

pirate skeletons and pumpkin tree

The tropical island area had a large sand pit for the kids to find buried treasure.  Right after that was a section with all kinds of games and playground equipment.  We noticed several places to stop and take selfies but they also have designated areas with workers to take the photo for you.

Spider carved pumpkin

Pumpkin Nights even set up a giant spider web to walk through with several spider carved pumpkins.  This one was about 36 inches long.  And this was about as spooky as it got.  So it’s perfect for younger kids too.

Even giant caterpillars were clinging to the trees.  I got so many other photos but can only put so many in a post.  I highly recommend going if it’s in your city.

Things To Know Before Going

  • You’ll need to purchase your tickets online here.
  • You’ll need to plan to arrive extra extra early.  We had to wait an hour in line just to park.  Maybe not all locations awful.

  • There are food trucks and drinks at the pumpkin field.
  • For the kids, there’s a kids movie showing with hay bales to sit on and face painting too

  • Costumes encouraged
  • No pets allowed.
  • Tickets are non-refundable and adult tickets are $20. each but with taxes and a service fee, each ticket will run about $25 total.

What a lot of fun you must have had, looks like a lot of artistic work went into these pumpkins. I admire people who can do these kind of things. Thanks for sharing and it is rainy and cold and it is suppose to get in the 20’s at night for a couple days.

Yikers Marlene. It’s to early for 20 degree nights. Weird weather is happening all over. Mother Nature must be in a bad mood. Stay warm!
