Hey hey hey! Did anyone besides me just now realize that Memorial Day is coming up on Monday the 31st? I would like to observe and honor the people who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military by putting out flags, decorating with red, white and blue then have a few friends over. So, just in case you’d like to do the same here’s an energetic eclectic mix of patriotic holiday decor ideas, just for you!

Red, white and blue decor is something I could keep around all summer long. Think about it. Why not use it for Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day? Here in Texas, I feel we are some of the most patriotic people found. Even our state flag is red, white and blue. So fun! Well as I was thinking about how to decorate this year, I was looking back at years past (so as not to duplicate) and thought I’d show you what popped up in the search.
This first one is one of my favorites. It can be put together in the front yard, in a driveway or even on a back patio or front porch. I think anyone walking up would get all kinds of nationalistic feels! It’s a Patriotic Sitting Area. And it was a pinterest challenge so you’ll see a total of 17 fabulous ideas!
The next idea was also a Pinterest Challenge. Y’all, our Pinterest Challenges are seriously a group of fantastic bloggers with fantabulous ideas. We post one each month on the last Tuesday of the month. It’s worth the visit for sure. This one is for easy patriotic coffee table vignettes. So many easy-to-do concepts.
Do you plan to have a drink station, snack station or a table with treats on it? Well here’s a super fun idea that will have quite the wow factor! I put together a Snack Cart with Patriotic Pizazz! Of course it had my fave Big Red soda too. ๐ Have you ever tasted it? It’s kinda like bubblegum but the Mister detests it. Says it’s embalming fluid. Whatevs.
Do you already have an idea how you want to decorate and just want something super cheap and super fun to add to the decor? Try Washi-Tape (affiliate link)! It took me about 10 minutes to do a full package. Turn your Plasticware Into Patriotic Pieces for all the oohs and ahh’s from your guests.
Here’s the last thing I wanted to share with you. It’s another super easy DIY to set up around the house somewhere. But I was thinking how fun this would look on a much larger scale! I’m thinking like 36″ x 36″! Maybe on the fence or gate or garage door or on the fireplace mantel?! Check out this Quick Flag DIY.
Sharing an energetic eclectic mix of patriotic holiday decor ideas was fun for me. Hope you found it likable too because patriotic color can be used for so long and really we should all enjoy honoring our military and the sacrifices made for everyone. If you are a military family, THANK YOU for all you do or have done. We greatly appreciate it.

I agree. We need to inspire others to share their patriotism with pride! Have you ever checked Wayfair for red dishes? They usually have a good selection. Here’s a link to make it easier. https://www.wayfair.com/keyword.php?prefetch=false&class_id=&keyword=red+dishes Hope that helps.

Glad to hear it Gail. Bring out all the fun fabrics! Enjoy.
I love all things red, white and blue (maybe because my dad is retired AF and my husband retired Army ๐ ) – they are perfect colors for all summer long. I ‘m a Texas native (born and raised in San Antonio, now living in the hill country) and agree with you on the Big Red: *love* it! I like HEB’s version (called Wild Red) even better (and it’s cheaper ๐ ) I have always said that they taste like cream soda, so I looked up Big Red flavoring, and that’s what they say too!

That’s fabulous Patty! I was born in San Antonio and have visited the hill country and goodness me, it’s beautiful there. Love all the great antique shopping you have in that area. I can hardly wait to try Wild Red. I suppose it is a cream soda taste although it’s been decades since I’ve tried cream soda anything. Thanks for the tip! And tell your dad and hubs, THANK YOU FOR THEIR SERVICE! They are much appreciated.
I really love all the colourful decor my U.S. friends show in the summer.
I use lots of the ideas for Canada Day, but leaving out the blue and the
stars, replacing them with red, white and maple leaves.

I have a few friends in Canada and love how y’all decorate for it. Maybe one day I’ll be able to make the trip and celebrate to?! I’m dying to find those Hallmark towns in the movies. Y’all are so lucky to have such fun places. My hubs says there’s no such thing as those Hallmark towns but I assure him he’s quite wrong. ๐
We have quite a few Hallmark towns in my area. We love to play ‘Spot the Location’ when we watch them. There are many local businesses that are regularly used in movies.
Author
Oh my golly, that is so cool! Do you mind telling me in what area you live? Would it be called a province? I’d love to see those Hallmark towns! ๐
We are in the suburbs of Vancouver, B.C. We have a wonderful moderate climate, 15 min. from the ocean, 1 hour from the mountains. So you can ski in the morning and sunbathe in the afternoon. We are only 10 minutes from the US border where we are.

Wowza, looking for a new neighbor?! That sounds like paradise! Thank you for letting me know. I’m putting that on my bucket list for travel destinations!
Let me know when you come. We can meet up for coffee and I can give you some tips of where to visit.
