Howdy Folks! It’s almost Valentine’s Day. Are you Team Cupid or Team That’s Stupid? I could take it or leave it. I don’t spend money on cards, I don’t expect a gift from my honey nor do I really do a lot of decorating for it. However, I made the cutest little wreath for it and want to show you. It’s an easy Valentine’s Day wreath to go along with the Pinterest Challenge. Yep! It’s our first challenge for 2021 and we are talking my love language. The language of decorating that is. And the color pink doesn’t hurt. ๐

If you’ve hopped over from Let’s Add Sprinkles, welcome! I loved Katie’s charming vintage looking heart. Did you know Katie lives near me and just purchased a house in the country not too far away? I’m hoping one day she invites us over. They’ve been working hard at renovating it and have done an awesome job. Make sure you check out her Country House Reveals! And you definitely want to visit my other friends at the bottom of the post. There are so many beautiful ideas for Valentine’s Day wreaths.
Sky at Capital B
Our inspiration photo this month comes from Sky at Capital B. I like that is looks simple and festive. What I noticed about her wreath and what I’d like to incorporate into my own version is the heart shape, the pink and white color, the ribbon bow and the wrapped grapevine wire she used. I used the same thing to make my rustic cloche last year and love how easy it is to use!
The wire is very pliable and can be shaped to just about anything and can be cut with scissors. I used one long piece to make a double wreath. You don’t need to double it though. I just liked it like that. It took about 5 minutes to get it formed.
I’ve tried several times to work with paper like the paper hearts in the inspiration photo but they end up being all crumpled and creased. I don’t like it. So I chose to use buttons instead. I do love me some buttons! I laid them out where I thought they should go and then hot glued them on the front and then put some extra on the back for good measure.
On the “be grateful” canvas decor, I thought the heart would be perfect hanging along with it. I just used a clear tack to hold it up there.
What do you think? It’s almost as cute as I am!
See? Just a little bit of Valentine’s Day decor hear and there. The clip frame sitting on the table has two of the sweetest little tags and the perfect amount of added pink to go along with the wreath. So stinkin’ cute and super easy to make. I think it took me a total of 20 minutes and most of that was figuring out where I wanted to put the buttons.
Up next is my friend Crissy at First Day of Home. Check it out! Hope whatever you do this Valentines’ Day is exactly what YOU want to be doing. Enjoy and…
Happy Decorating Friends!

Enjoy your Valentine’s wreath and those pretty cards,
Hugs,
Barb ๐

Thank you Barbara. I love buttons so I thought it would be perfect. I got the Be Grateful sign at the Painted Tree in Highland Village. It was marked 75% off! I wasn’t passing that up.
Oh, this is SO CUTE, Cindy! Pink is my favorite color, and I love with the gray plaid chair (I have that same chair, btw)!
The Pinterest Challenge is so fun!

Thank you so much Niky. I love the Pinterest Challenges too. Pink is my fave color too and I got my chairs at Pier 1. Did you? Great minds! Really sad to see that store close. I think I was in there once a week. I loved all the dishes, placemats and napkins! It was like playing “house”. ๐
Button, button who’s got the button! This is absolutely adorable. Thank you so much for hosting.

Thanks bunches Laura. I need more pink buttons. I realized when I made that I was out. That is not good!
So cute Cindy, I love the county simplicity of your wreath, and the buttons are perfect!

Thanks so much Cindy. I am a button hoarder and I enjoy using them when I can. Hope you have a great week.
Just curious as to where you got the “be grateful” canvas decor.

I found the be grateful sign at a local store called the Painted Tree. It’s the kind of store that leases space to many people for small booths. I believe if you google Wall Tarp, you should be able to find some. Maybe even Etsy. Sorry I can’t be of more help.
Cindy, the button idea is a cute alternative to the paper hearts. Thanks for choosing such a cute and easy inspiration this month.

My pleasure Carol. I figured with the start of the year and us all being busy that easy would be a good idea. Enjoy the sunshine!
Your wreath looks great on your Be Grateful canvas. The buttons and pink ribbon are perfect for a Valentine’s Day wreath. I’m loving all of the ideas that I’m getting from this month’s challenge.

I’m happy to do it Michelle and thank you. I think it looks perfect there in that blank space on the banner. ๐
I love buttons and that is the cutest heart, together they are just perfect for Valentines day. I don’t do much for Valentines day either, but yours made me smile, thanks!!

Thanks so much Marlene. You always commenting makes me smile too!
Love that you used your wire from your cloche project… and the buttons are perfect, too! Your opening line made me LOL… I’m def ‘team that’s stupid’… unless it’s a Pinterest Challenge! Pinned!

LOL Julie, thank you. You better like the Pinterest Challenges! ๐
Wow what a cute idea to add something special to your canvas! It takes the wall hanging to a whole new level. The buttons are adorable, and love how you kept it simple. Now I want to dig out that big jar of buttons I have and make something with them. Great hop today Cindy! Pinning of course!

Thank you! I’m always looking for ideas to use my buttons. Although I love how the look piled high in the Mason jar too. I bet whatever you make will be so pretty.
What a sweet idea to add buttons, Cindy! I’m not sure which team I’m on. I think I’m team “whatever I’m feeling that year!” Sometimes I decorate a lot for Valentine’s Day and sometimes a little. That canvas is the coolest thing, by the way! I haven’t seen one like that. Thanks, as always, for hosting this fun challenge!

I’m always excited to host the PC’s and thank you Crissy. I found the canvas at a local booth type store called The Painted Tree. It’s one of my favorite stores to visit from time to time. Couldn’t pass up the canvas since it was marked down to $11.00! Woo hoo!
I love the buttons. Buttons just make stuff so stinking cute. How adorable. Thanks for hosting and the sweet shout out. It will be great to be able to gather once again in person. This was such a fun project and I love seeing what everyone is up to.

Of course Katie! Y’all have been a movin and groovin over there! I am impressed at how much you’ve done in such a short amount of time. Plus it looks great! Cheers to gathering again soon.
This is so cute, Cindy! I don’t think I’ve ever tried the bendable raffia like that but it looks like it would be a blast to work with. The buttons totally put it over the top too! I love it. Pinned! Hugs, CoCo

This is so sweet<3 Love the addition of buttons; so homespun on the canvas. I've never used that vine stuff; guess I need to give it a try! Thanks for hosting, friend!

Very creative and Super Cute.๐

Thanks so much Ruth! I rally appreciate that. ๐
This is such a cute idea for Valentine’s, Cindy! I would much rather get something like this, to be honest, than a box of chocolates. And yes, I like Valentine’s Day but I think it’s just a good excuse to spend some quality time with your partner.

Me too Katerina. I would always rather have something decor related as a gift. Thanks for the visit today! Happy Friday.
