Hello sweet friends! Are y’all decked out for July 4th yet? We aren’t sure whether or not we’ll be here in Highland Village or at the farmhouse but just in case we are in Navasota, I made up a super cute snack cart for everyone. Yes, all the snacks and drinks are gone already but it’s easy enough to refill and duplicate.
A snack cart with patriotic pizazz
I used our vintage teacart but you can use a table or I think a red wagon or wheel barrow would be fun. If you choose either of those, add something on top of it like a child’s chair or a small stool to add height and layers. And make sure it’s stable so that no one can easily turn it over.
Gather everything you have around the house that has any sort of red, white or blue in it. We have several crocks with blue stripes and some hand towels that are a red plaid. I found a few old books with red covers and a blue bandana.
Add the patriotic decor before the snacks. Spread it around leaving open spaces for the food and drinks. I started with the largest piece first which was obviously the flag. I wanted to make sure and leave enough room for the cutest food tent ever crafted and made by yours truly! ๐ That came next. If you’d like to see the DIY, check it our here.
Of course my food items are patriotic colors too. Even the RC Cola and Big Red. BTW, have any of y’all tasted Big Red? I love it! The Mister says it tastes like embalming fluid. How in the world would he even know what that tastes like (insert rolling eyes)? See what I’m dealing with people and on a day to day basis? Ugh. To me it’s a mix of vanilla, creme soda and bubble gum. It may sound yucky but it’s delicious!
Back to the important stuff like having the cutest snack cart around. Now add your food. Add a cake plate or bowls or anything that will make some of the snacks stand taller than the rest. It’s no fun seeing the food sitting on a table at the same height. Looks more like the school cafeteria or the potluck line at church. Blah.
It’s okay to separate the food. Not all the cupcakes need to be together. And if you have fruit or peanuts like us, spread it around too.
That’s it, a snack cart with patriotic pizazz. A stand alone piece of beauty. I think even Betsy Ross would have been a little jealous.
Iโm loving this! You not only have the perfect property, you have the most darling snack cart ever!
