Hello my happy friends. Today I have a Pinterest Challenge that includes a delightful spring tablescape plus thirteen more aaahhhmazing bloggers with their charming spring tablescapes too. Can you ever really see enough spring inspiration? I say not really. If you’ve landed here from Follow The Yellow Brick Home, thanks so much! I always appreciate the visit and didn’t you love her adorable tablescape? So stinkin’ cute!
A Pinterest Challenge That Includes A Delightful Spring Tablescape!
For the Pinterest Challenge, each month we choose one inspo photo and each of the participating bloggers use that photo to recreate something similar but in their own personal style. Some months are harder than others and some push me to think outside the box. I try my hardest to use what I already have around the house which is nice.
Worthing Court
This month our inspiration photo comes from Suzy at Worthing Court. She has a talent for tablescapes and this is one of the cutest! What I see and would like to incorporate are these elements below.
Stack of placemats, chargers and plates
A tiered tray
Lots of greenery
A nest with eggs
Bunnies and a small pitcher
Y’all, I was super excited because I didn’t spend a dime. Well except for the lemon bites. That’s one of the things you’ll notice that’s totally different about my tablescape. I don’t have a tired tray with flat bottoms to stack things cutely inside. Mine is used for cookies and cupcakes and candy and all kinds of scrumptious delights – duh.
The other difference is a nest with eggs. I made several nests about 4 years ago. You can see the super easy DIY here but they are sitting in another spot and I don’t like moving things from one place to another just to make it work.
Instead, I have a table runner with nests that looks great. The best part though, is all of the small white dishes (my nests) with eggs sitting throughout the table are pieces I made in my pottery class! I realize a pat on the back wouldn’t be out of the question right about now. ๐
From what I can tell in Suzy’s photo, she used two bunnies. I’m taking the opportunity to use a few of my pewter bunny molds. They aren’t genuine molds.
I’ve gathered them over the years from various stores and love each one. Maybe one day I’ll have a large collection of them! Wouldn’t that be fun?! I can see the Mister’s eyes rolling back in his head even now.
When trying to recreate a pinterest challenge photo, you don’t need to replicate it exactly. For example, look at the small pitcher Suzy has at the end of her table. I could leave my pitcher empty like hers or take an opportunity to do something different like adding greenery stems instead.
Cover ugly pots with lunch sacks
Speaking of greenery, this faux plant came in a black plastic container and that’s not going to look all that great mixed in with a charming spring tablescape. An easy fix is putting it inside a paper brown (or white) lunch sack and rolling the top edges down. I’m a frequent brown bagger with my home decor.
Spring Tablescape
Some of you might not think using a stack of plates as a centerpiece is a good idea. I do it all the time. It allows for family to help set the table. And when the time comes, it gives me the excuse to buy or pick fresh flowers to put in place of the stacked dishes. For this particular tablescape, I’d add one pitcher of fresh florals where the stacked dishes were and then add more flowers to the small white pitcher on the other end. Works out perfectly!
Use a collection of molds to keep the eye moving in a tablescape
By separating the green bundles, using different heights and using the pewter molds in sporadic places, you keep the eye moving throughout the tablescape. Just don’t add so many small pieces that it looks busy. I hope you see how you can recreate one Pinterest Challenge photo to fit in with your own style by using a little imagination.
Next up is Angie at Postcards from the Ridge. She has a must-see collection of vintage jadeite!

I even laughed at myself when I typed that out. There’s a cartoon that the kids showed me a long time ago of a cow in a crowd of other animals. She thought she was ugly and had a bag on her utters (yeah, not sure how that worked). When she got a compliment saying she was beautiful, she took the bag off. Then about 2 seconds later some animal in the crowd said – girl, put that bag back on. LOL! We say that every single time there’s a brown bag around. Like I said before, 5th grade boy humor) ๐
