It’s getting closer! Sept 22, 2018. I can feel it. Yesterday’s high temp was only 85 degrees! That’s practically winter around here. Just kidding. But these last couple of days have been so pleasant that I decided to remove all of the summer decor in the house. I say removed. It’s actually in a heap in the corner waiting to be stored. I’m not the best at organizing the seasonal decor. I get so excited about the next season that the old season just gets thrown in the attic. At least it’s in bins or bags and in it’s own corner but it’s not really marked. I’ve said for years now that next season I’ll organize it. I think it’s the mountainous amount of work that keeps me from doing it.
Anyway, since the rooms were looking quite naked, I haaad to pull out some of the fall stuff. I stacked it in the entry and on the dining room table. Now the table is bursting with color and it looks like I have my very own pumpkin patch! Decor galore! I love it. It gives me all the fall feels.
This area is part of the entry in the suburban house. You know the one. You can tell from the hideous gold walls.
I’ll admit that fall is the only time of the year I don’t hate them but I’m not going to start ranting again over that! You’re welcome. 😉
A Little Farmhouse Fall In The Entry
I moved the accent table from the dining room for something different and placed it to highlight the most wonderful old chippy white fence gate. I found it a couple of weeks ago at Frisco Mercantile. I’m sure some of you wouldn’t dream of putting such an old dirty thing on your walls but I could hardly wait. Yes, it may have lead paint on it but I’m not going to eat it so we’re all good. I could take the gate down to Navasota and put it in the garden or prop it up on the porch, but for now, it’s staying right there.
The wreath is from Kirkland’s. I love the metal ring and strap on it. I’ve seen fall wreaths made from embroidery hoops too so I bet it would be easy to reproduce if you’re crafty. The pumpkin under the chicken wire cloche was super easy too. Here’s the pumpkin link if you’d like to make a few. And here’s the link if you’d like to make the chicken wire cloche.
Well that’s the start of my fun week. When will you get out the fall decor? Are you going to wait until the first official day of fall or maybe wait until it actually feels like fall outside?
This last weekend I hopped over to Bath and Body Works to pick up some fall hand soap, fall plug-ins and a candle. I am set for the season! Woo Hoo!

Thank you Terri! I appreciate that. And girl, there is nothing wrong with lying on the beach next to a big bonfire while hearing crashing waves from the ocean! I could do that every night and be happy. Oh man, I think we need to plan a trip to FL soon! Thanks for visiting.
It is just as cute as can be….I had a fence piece like this but when we moved, I must have been in a trance ’cause I just left it there….now I want it back…:(

LOL. I think I’d have to creep back on the property, snatch it up then knock on the door and say, Oh Sorry but I left something here when we lived here and I’m here to collect. See ya – bye! Then run to the car and don’t look back! Thanks for the sweet compliment. Hope you have a great day!
You have been a busy person and have done a really wonderful Fall entry, i love your old gate and am so glad you aren’t going to eat it,lol!! You are a hoot! and now have energized me. Have a great week.

HA! Marlene. I’m glad I make you smile. And getting energized is even better! Still have lots to do but it’s never like work. Happy Fall (almost).
Love what you’ve done in your entry. I live in west central Florida and yes it’s still majorly summer. But I’m hoping to pull down my fall containers from the attic this weekend! Might I ask where you found your white entry table? Can I ask how wide it is? Looking for something similar but narrow to put behind my sofa! Many thanks.

Hi Vicki! I got the table years (and I mean years) ago at Kirkland’s back when Old World Style was in. It used to be a cherry wood color. Kirkland’s has several slim tables that would be a perfect size for behind a sofa. Mine is 12 inches deep and 42″ wide. Best wishes on finding one! Oh, try Wayfair too. 🙂
Cindy, your entry is beautiful! Thanks for the info on the table. I would love one that size. I see a trip to Kirklands in my future!

Yay – Glad you like it Tammy!
Perfectly farmhouse and perfectly you! The Frisco Mercantile is on my list. I think I went there with a friend a few years ago. 🙂

Oh girl, you’ll love it there! I’ll meet you! It’s a haul for you but we could make a day of it! Thanks for the sweet comments too. I read that I’m perfect. LOL
It’s down right chilly out today. Yahoo. I haven’t started putting the fall decor out yet but I’m itching to. I love your white pumpkins. I think I need a wreath like that. Cute, cute.
