My friends are all amazing and you’ll love what you see from them. I’m going to share a little springtime inspiration with 5 reasons container gardens are perfect for me and maybe you too.

5 Reasons Container Gardens Are Perfect For Me and Maybe You Too
If you’ve stopped over from Follow the Yellow Brick Home, welcome and happy spring! I love everything Amber does. I’m a bit envious of her green thumb and back garden.
I have brown thumbs so to me, gardening is daunting and frustrating at best. The mister is in the same boat. We’ve planted corn, pumpkins, potatoes, lots of things in the ground only to be feeling lower than a gopher hole by the end of the season. I don’t know why we stink at it.

One day I was introduced to containers. I love them and here’s why.
Reason #1 – There are less disease problems. Insects move from plant to plant and are less likely to find plants off the ground. Like in a hanging pot, on a table or balcony.
Dress up an everyday store bought containers for fun.
Reason #2 – If you have a limited space, you can find a container that will fit.
Indoor plants can be brought outside with proper care.
Reason #3 – You can move them around easily taking advantage of sunny and shady spots depending on what your plant needs.

Reason #4 – Containers need very little weeding! I love this. You can’t even tell there used to be a garden out back for the weeds that took over. We gave up.

Reason #5 – They are perfect for beginners. You can start plants/flowers/herbs/etc., from seeds or clippings. It’s seriously so much easier for me.

There is a challenge to container gardening. You have to pay attention to the watering. Too much will damage the plant and too little will kill it. But at least with it being in a container, the money and effort is much less than a full garden outside.
I hope you can understand the 5 reasons container gardens are perfect for me and maybe you too. Reason #6 should be because there are so many ideas and options for containers! So many!

Gah- I love your old cart and that baby bathtub! Yes, container gardening is so much more manageable, but it does involve a lot of walking around and watering. So excited to enjoy all the ideas on the hop today while I see blowing snow outside my window:( But we do need the moisture. Have a Happy Easter, friend!

Love these container garden ideas so much, Cindy! I never thought about all the different ways they’re a lot less upkeep than planting a traditional garden or flower beds. The not having to weed alone is worth it. I’m definitely going to be on the hunt for more containers now. Our back patio is is desperate need of some TLC. Esepcially, with the hot Florida sun. You and I both have the hot sun to deal with and some years it’s unbearable and everything is just burnt. Another reason why I love container gardening. I can feel cool and still be surrounded by blooms and beauty while sitting in front of a fan. 😉 Thank you CoCo.

Cindy, I guess I never realized that containers are less bug prone. Thank you for that bit of information! I do get mites and have to eventually spray or go systemic for a number of my potted plants here. I really enjoyed all the beautiful containers you’ve shared!! I remember the one photo with the cone-shaped metal basket. Really fun ideas, thank you!!

Yes, those little critters like to spread the love don’t they? We spray the yard for bugs and it really helps with them spreading to the outdoor plants. Thanks Barbara and happy gardening!
