Howdy friends! Now that it’s the end of August, I’m finally ready begin some fall decorating. Yes, it’s still hot in Texas but if I waited until it was cooler outside to begin decorating my home for autumn, it could be December. Bleh. Plus, I’m here to inspire you! So, in order to spark a bit of enthusiasm, here are 5 beautiful mum display ideas to use this fall season. You know, for when the stores actually start selling them. ๐
5 Beautiful Mum Display Ideas To Use This Fall Season!
Mini Pumpkin Mums
Who says you need large mums to make a fabulous statement?! Look at these little cuties. Simply carve out small pumpkins, add some floral foam inside and add just enough water to soak the foam. Clip some mum stems then poke them inside the foam and voila! The cutest take-home gifts and/or place cards you ever did see. Just think of the colors you could use!
Vintage planter with Spanish Moss
If you decide to keep the mums inside the plastic container, dress them up by placing them into a vintage garden piece and surrounding the plastic pot with Spanish Moss. I love this look!
The Honeycomb Home
Instead of using only one mum in a small basket, add several colorful mums to a large basket. This look would work just about anywhere. As a table centerpiece, in the corner by the front door or on a chair in your entry. And you just might be able to add pumpkins or other beautiful plants like Dahlias or Sunflowers to the mix.
The How to Home
If you live in a place like I do where the fireplace is rarely used or if you have a just a mantel, filling it with mums would be fantastic! The insides are usually dark black boxes so the added pop of color is vibrant as well as cozy. Plus, it will be easy to move the mum just outside the hearth if it gets cold and you actually want to have a fire going.
Creative Cain Cabin
Who says using bikes in a garden or for display is just for summer?! This is so fun. I am still on the look out for an old bike but fingers crossed I find one this season. Love this outdoor setting and so will all the neighbors!
Well, which one of these 5 beautiful mum display ideas will you choose this fall season? I will be at our local farmers market every weekend from now until fall trying to find mums. Woo hoo! I’m super excited to decorate for Autumn – even if it is 100 degrees outside.

I wish I could find really good fake mums. I can’t keep them alive or get them to bloom more than once. And around here they are really expensive. Thanks for the visit Rachel. ๐
These mum ideas are so pretty. I have mums in my backyard, some pink and purple ones that return yearly. I do like to buy some for the front display and I love the bicycle idea.

These are ALL great ideas. I love the neutral basket with pumpkin and the light berry colored mum in the wire basket with moss. We’re supposed to have a cooldown starting today with a little rain, but right now it’s very humid and mosquito friendly out there!

Watch out for the mosquito’s! I just heard a report that some of them (I think South Africa) now make you feel like your bones are breaking and with a terrible case of the flu! My word, I cannot imagine. Thanks for the visit Rita. And cheers to the cooldown!
