Love is in the air – Schik-a schik schik-a schik schik-a schik – Everywhere I look around – Schik-a schik schik-a schik schik-a schik schik-a schik – Love is in the air – Schik-a schik schik-a schik schik-a schik – Every sight and every sound... (Y‘all have no idea how long it took me to type that out and yes it’s still probably wrong but you get it, right? Tell me you get it!) Okay so sing-along-with-Cindy is over but today I have A sweet Pinterest Challenge with a cute Valentine’s Day Cloche for you.
If you’re visiting from Follow the Yellow Brick Home, I’m glad you’re here. I adore Amber’s vintage heart – literally! ๐
A sweet Pinterest Challenge with a cute Valentine’s Day Cloche
Our inspiration photo this month comes from Birgit at Crafting While I Wait. If you’re new here, the idea of a Pinterest Challenge is to take a photo found on Pinterest and recreate it to work with our own styles and in our own homes.
What I observe about Birgit’s cloche is that it’s tiny. Then I notice the paper hearts, the old buttons and the tag hanging on the top. It’s all pretty darn cute.
Glass Cloche for Valentine’s Day decorating.
You’ll see right off the bat that my cloche isn’t small. It’s TEXAS SIZED size si si si. ๐ The cloche didn’t come with a bottom so I get to use all kinds of things. Mostly I use plate chargers. Like the inspo photo, I’m using a galvanized charger purchased from Pier One years ago. Out of all the years I’ve had both pieces I never once considered using them together but I like how it looks!
The hanging heart in the center has four coordinating pieces of card stock taped together and is simply taped to the underside of the cloche. If you’d like to see how I made the paper heart, click here.
It’s fun that one side of the paper heart has a pale aqua blue background. That allowed me to bring out my fave vintage blue bottles. And speaking of vintage, I have a soft spot for old buttons too so when I examined the photo and saw that she used aged buttons I was all-in! Yay!
Make Love Not War!
Did you notice the tag hanging from the top in the inspiration photo? I can’t tell what it actually looks like but it can’t be much cuter than the one I’m using! Hello, who doesn’t love cupcakes?! Well some people may not. If that’s the case, I’m sincerely sorry but I don’t think we can be friends – just sayin’. Cupcakes rule! Pies drool!
Well, how did you like A sweet Pinterest Challenge with a cute Valentine’s Day Cloche? It’s super easy!

That huge cloche is heavy and not the easiest to tote around. Definitely a two-hander but I love it too. Thank you Carol.
Love it! I love the cupcakes card!

Yay! If we have the same fun chargers, that means I’m like you – yippee! They are heavy aren’t they? Picking them up all at once is a workout, right? Thank you for the sweet comment Kim. Have a great week.
Cute heart! And I really like how you hung it from the top and embellished the string. I can still decorate my glass cloche with ideas from today:)
