Hey there my beautiful friends! No I don’t actually celebrate or redecorate my home for Christmas in July but when our host Rachel at The Ponds Farmhouse asks if I’d like to hop with 13 amazing bloggers, I jump at the chance! And even though it’s 100 degrees outside and I’m dreaming of snow and colder weather looking back at these photos gets me all excited. So in honor of Christmas in July, here are 5 of my all time favorite Christmas decorating projects!
If you want to see each post, click on the title under each photo. It will take you right to the project.
5 of My All Time Favorite Christmas Decorating Projects
If you’ve hopped over from Simply 2 Moms blog, welcome! I hope you enjoy your time here and find a new idea!
A few years ago when I started this blog, I was asked to be in a Christmas Tour Hop. Sadly, some of those bloggers are no longer blogging but each time I think back on the tour, I smile and remember the feeling I got from sitting on the porch that winter. It was our first holiday there and I spend a lot of time all snuggled up in the rocking chair looking out at the pastures and thanking the Lord for his gifts.
A FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS TOUR
There’s a lot to see in that post so you might want to grab a coffee or a sweet tea this time of year and get comfy. Besides the porch, I share the living room and dining room which includes our fun little snack station. We all need one of those at Christmas time, right?! It was back when only a few things had been done to the house. Four years later, it’s gotten better.
A REPURPOSED FARMHOUSE STYLE WREATH
Next is a repurposed farmhouse Christmas Wreath. It’s nothing fancy but it fits our lifestyle out in the country quite well. When I shared the DIY for the wreath. I used an old piece from a broken planter. A wonderful reader told me it wasn’t a planter but actually an old sewing box! People used to put their yarn in it. I just love my readers! Y’all are the bestest.
A NEUTRAL FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS LIVING ROOM
The wreath on the door opens up to my next project. I had decided not to use much red and instead incorporate as much fresh greenery from the pastures as I could. Who doesn’t love free Christmas greens?! The wonderful smells were so comforting and being surrounded by deep greens, natural woods and white was so peaceful to me.
AN EASY CHRISTMAS CRATE WITH DIY FABRIC TREES
Speaking of free fresh Christmas greens, there are plenty to clip out in the pastures. This project was used as a centerpiece on the outdoor picnic table. The DIY fabric tree link is in the post as well. They were so easy and fun. And eating outdoors in the winter in Texas is awesome – no bugs and no humidity!
DIY SILVER TRAY WREATH
Last but not least is the DIY Silver Tray Wreath. I shopped and saved silver plated trays for years to make this giant wreath. It’s definitely a conversation starter. It has an elegant yet rustic look (depending on what I add to the top) to it that I adore. Hope you’ll want to check it out and make your own. It’s little effort for the punch!
Well, there are 5 of My All Time Favorite Christmas Decorating Projects for celebrating in July. Next up is Jenn at Down Shiloh Road. I know you’ll love her farmhouse decorating DIY.
