Hey friends! I’m excited today to join Amber from Follow The Yellow Brick Home and a few of my friends for a winter blog hop. I’ve put together 5 Easy Last Minute Winter Decorating Vignettes Worth Trying and since it’s a hop, you’ll find lots more ideas below. If you’re popping over from Rachel’s, don’t you just love her style and cozy ideas?! If you’ve never been here before, click on the About Me Page so we can be friends.
5 Easy Last Minute Winter Decorating Vignettes Worth Trying
Each vignette you’ll see today can be done in 1 minute! Okay, maybe 2 minutes if you’re a little particular in the arranging part. ๐ And I’ve put together a short list of accessories you should have on hand to keep your home looking beautiful during the winter blahs.
Winter Accessory List:
Small faux trees or wintery looking faux stems
A large sugar pinecone and a couple of small pinecones
Candles
Deer Antlers
Green, gray, white or black books
A couple of pretty bowls
A lantern or tray
Vignette using vintage silver
To create the simple vignette above add a candle to a bowl (in this case a silver creamer), group together a couple of small pinecones and small faux tree keeping the tallest item in the back. I love it and it finishes out the corner which makes it prettier to look at.
Easy Vignette with handmade pottery
With this vignette, I used a pitcher (or use a bowl or vase) and added faux stems to make it look full. The two small houses are something I made in pottery class but you don’t have to use houses. What about trying 2 small vases. candlesticks, orbs, birds or even a couple of family photos in silver or black frames? Just keep the two extra accessories different heights and keep them smaller than the tallest item (greenery stems) in the back.
Easy table centerpiece with a lantern
Needing a quick winter centerpiece for your table? It doesn’t get much easier than a lantern with an antler, a large sugar pinecone and a mini faux tree. Lanterns come in so handy at times and look good just about anywhere!
Vignette using old books
Books are my second favorite need-to always-have-around-decor-item. If I had large bookshelves they’d be filled with neutral colored books. Stacking wintery colors against a lamp with a small faux tree in a coordinating bowl is perfect for another easy vignette. And guess what?! I made the white bowl in my pottery class too! So fun!
Winter Vignette using books wrapped with ribbon
Last but not least, add a stack of books wrapped in ribbon with a small piece of greenery tucked inside and place it next to a small faux tree. Boom – instant winter decor with minimal effort! Now that’s my kinda decorating. ๐ If you’d like to see the post on How I Transition From Christmas to Winter Decor, click here.
We still have quite a bit of winter left so these 5 Easy Last Minute Winter Decorating Vignettes are worth trying. And you’ll be amazed at all the groupings you can make with the short list of accessory items at the top! Give them a try and let me know how it goes. LOL, thank you! I love simple and quick. Some days I’m all in with a redesign but those are getting farther apart. I hope you can find a pottery class around you. I have to go 20 minutes to the only one within an hours drive but now that I’m hooked, I’d drive the hour!
Love your vignettes!!!

Oh heck no! -6? I think I’d be a hibernating bear and no one would see me for months! I really cannot even imagine! You should have heard my husband the other day carrying on like it was -6 when in reality it was 33 outside! LOL. Stay safe and warm Debbie and thank you as always for the visit.
Your home looks so beautiful. I love all of the greenery. Blessings to you.

I think using silver with candles or greenery has always been my favorite winter decorating idea. Thank you Laura.
Wonderful ideas. I am especially drawn to the first image with just the silver, pine cone and tree.

I don’t care if the silver is tarnished or in pristine condition, I love it all! Especially with greenery and/or candles. There’s just something about it. Thank you Elle!
Each vignette is perfect for winter decor. We are having a real winter here in Virginia and I love it.

Thanks bunches Kim. I’m ready to decorate for spring. Especially after seeing your vibrant beautiful home!
Such great ideas, and love that you’re using live greenery. I need to go back outside and snip some, but I might freeze on the way back to the house. Way too cold around here. OK, how fun to take a pottery class. I LOVE your little houses you created. Adorable, Cindy!!

Oh my goodness Lora, you absolutely made my day! You might think it’s because you said I was wonderful and I inspired your Christmas bedroom decor but actually it’s because you said I could come live with you for a winter. LOLOLOL. I know you only said part of that statement but I’m optimistic you’ll come around. ๐ Hope you have a great week.
