This pumpkin was purchased on clearance. I didn’t know why it was so cheap except maybe it was waiting for me. It’s today’s first pumpkin makeover and definitely the easiest. It needs only one thing – twine. If you find a pumpkin that has a stem that you aren’t crazy about, change it!
Personalizing A Store Bought Pumpkin
The pumpkin had a pleather (imitation leather) stem. It’s certainly not ugly, just wasn’t my vibe.
I thought about painting it which was a terrible idea when I came across the twine. You can see the simple diy by clicking here. Still love the rustic look it has.
Adorable DIY No-Sew Fabric Pumpkins
As you can see, I’m a sucker for twine stems. lol! This one has a more shabby chic look. It’s a no-sew project that literally took me about 15 minutes.
And besides being so stinkin’ cute, these no-sew pumpkins are completely customizable depending on the fabric you choose. Wool, felt, cotton, burlap… All great ideas! It can look farmhouse, woodsy, boho and so many others. Click here for the diy.
If you’ve visited the blog at all during the fall season, you know this was my favorite pumpkin craft of all time. I made these so long ago I don’t even remember the year. But I get them out each season and smile from ear to ear.
The vintage look is totally my vibe. I keep collecting doilies and one day I’ll make the time to craft more. I’m thinking soft buttery gold ones with tea stained doilies. Or maybe really dark green ones with black doilies and dark knobs. Gaah, so fun! If you’d like to make some of these, click here.
Wow, this was a short but sweet post. Hope you found with these 3 super easy pumpkin diy’s for our favorite autumn season that you make at least one. Which one will you create? What color will you choose? Please send a photo!
